I don't know baseball jargon, but it's technically 4 days. Thursday he was taken out vs Wake around 8:30 PMish. He would start Monday around 6 PMish. That's 93 hours or 4 days. Technically

It is 4 days. Count the hours dumb arse. Don't give a shite how many "official days" they are. It is 4. And if you don't think he is starting and going at least 100 then you are dumb

Exactly but we have people here pretending they are pitching scouts saying it’s only 3

Imagine being this ignorant about baseball.

This is basically 95% of the posters on baseball. They can’t understand why guys are not successful against 95-99 mph fastballs and 90 mph sliders and splits. They scratch their bellies on the couch screaming at guys actually believing they would do better.

Baseball is really hard. People are really dumb.

Okay fine. Then technically four days rest (what any sane person would call three) is too quick of a turnaround to go out and throw a full start after you’ve already had a quick turn around.

Feel better?

I get it if you wanna talk “baseball shorthand” but then when you start counting count right

If you want to get really smart and scientific about it, genius, you recover when you’re sleeping so however many hours pass in the day of the start after he’s awake is irrelevant. No clue why people who’ve never played sports or worked out before come here to talk shite about the way entire industries filled with people 1000x smarter and more experienced than them do standardized things like count days of rest

Exactly. But because some idiots sit around and just know the terms of baseball so they are an expert. Who gives a shite. It is technically 4 days. Count them how you want. He starts and I will bet anyone here however much you want. So instead of sitting behind keyboards talking shite in your underwear put some money on it.

Ok let’s compromise.

The magic number of days of rest before a pitchers body falls apart is 3 days. But that’s a baseball 3 days. Which is technically 3.75 days. So he actually needs 3.75 days of rest which we will call 3.

Like I get it. I watch baseball. I understand that a SP in pro ball usually goes every 5-6 day on “N minus 1 days rest”. That’s not some brilliant notion. Its just also not technically true

So if you have a 4 day weekend off on Friday & Monday you would go back to work Monday ? Brilliant! La education at its finest

Its absolutely not how pitching rest is figured.

Y’all were the ones pretending to be all high and mighty saying it’s only “3 pitching rotation.”

How does that make a difference? It’s still the number of full days since his last game where he pitched. It’s 3 days rest for a pitcher after he threw 100+ pitches. Anyone in baseball would call it 3 days rest. There is no getting around it.

Hey “bruh” I’m not the fricking idiot trying to argue that someone is on 3.5 days rest if they throw at 3 PM rather than 9 AM. Take your trashy arse back to Livonia and leave the thinking to people who can type like they graduated from high school

We are talking about baseball so baseball shorthand would be the proper terminology
