He looks like he is tossing the ball around the back yard, or throwing batting practice. It seems like he puts zero effort into throwing 100 mph fastballs.
This is clearly the picture definition of “a man among boys”.
He just punched himself into the #1 pick in the draft.
Crews needs to tell him, “You just cost me money!”

Nolan didn’t have Skenes control.
At least not in the beginning.

I’ve never seen someone make 100 look so effortless at any level.

Nothwithstanding Skenes being a boss, Crews has cost himself a fortune with his disappearing act.

Crews got two hits last night. He’s had an absolutely crucial hit in the last inning of two of our three elimination games. He’s hitting I’m guessing around .300 against some of the best pitching in the country in a pitcher’s ballpark. If that’s a disappearing act, I guess we should alert the scouts.

he has such good transfer of motion

it really looks effortless. not a violent delivery at all.

it’s like when you frick around on MLB the show and give your pitcher who throws 102 Tim Wakefield’s delivery.

I mean one could also argue Crews getting the single in the 11th forced the pitching change that led to the home run last night

That single was massive.

Here are Crews’ stats for the tourney:

.300 (6 for 20)
5 runs
2 RBI
1 2B
1 HR
2 BB
.364 OBP / .500 SLG / .864 OPS
14 outs in the field

Yeah, he cost himself

There was a video of him throwing a football from the field to the stands in Omaha. He casually threw the ball from shallow OF mid way up the stands. It seemed like he threw it 50+ yds with just a flick of his wrist. It was unreal.

This is an exceedingly stupid take. That’s not how this works. That’s not how any of this works.

Crews also had a couple shots up the middle last night but the second baseman was in perfect position for both of them

It’s his pitching mechanics. He does everything pretty efficiently and uses his massive body well.
