Nothing confirmed. Do the math though. I got my hotel today in new Orleans.

My aunt is the director of operations for the superdome and arena (SMG). I can confirm this thread.
Will update with any news when I hear it. Obviously I'm in line for tickets when there's an event in the superdome, so I'm on top of this

Isn't it managed by the same company that manages the Houston site?

frick,
i thought i was being slick booking a non-refundable hotel in Houston back in June at a discount. I thought to myself "Well im definitely 100% going to the game so why pay more for a refundable hotel?"
If its in Nola ill go but problably not anywhere else so hoping for that.
I wonder if I can donate the hotel room it to someone who is homeless due to flooding

I don't see any scenario where it's not New Orleans or Provo.
Why do you rule out B. R.?

Too bad the director of operations is a male.

Are they? Nola is providing residents with sand bags right now. It seems like there are too many unknowns about how this system will effect LA to schedule the game at the Superdome.
I don't give a shite where the game is played, as long as it gets played.

Wrong. Game is being played at the superdome.

Yes it is and the city will be fine.

I'm having a hard time seeing ESPN or LSU balking at 4-6 inches of rain for New Orleans over the course of a week. New Orleans got more than that in a few hours on the 6th, pumps were completely fricked, and yet events like White Linen went along just as scheduled.

Exactly. Those saying otherwise are doing so for selfish reasons. Game may not end up in New Orleans, but not due to flooding concerns.
