I was watching the replay of the 2004 Sugar Bowl and got to thinking. I believe the Marcus Spears INT return for a TD has got to be the single biggest play in LSU history right? What y'all got? eta: Guess I should clarify. Was going for football and ultimately Championship ramifications. If Spears doesn't make that play, we very well don't win that game.

ETA: Strictly football, I’d agree with your selection as far as magnitude and what the implications were. I’m sure people will bring up the Billy Canon punt return though

Herbstreit putting Miles to Michigan news out too early. Could’ve had Saban back.

Or at least gotten rid of Miles when some other school could have still been tricked into taking him.

I know it didn’t lead to a national championship or anything, but still a damn good memorable play was Tommy Hodson to Eddie Fuller. Woulda loved to have been there to witness it.

Zenon pick 6 in 2007 SEC championship game vs Tennessee. We were up 14-13 in the 4th. As soon as the announcer said Tennessee has no turnovers or penalties, Zenon picked the ball and walked into the end zone. It was great. Maybe not the biggest play ever, but a memorable one for sure.

In History?

Probably Cannon's Halloween Run.

In this Golden Age?

Mauck to Skylar Green LSU-UGA in 2003 at home. That play launched a National championship team for the first time in 45 years in Baton Rouge and helped set the stage for the next 15 years.
