Chaisson doesn’t have enough film to play this game

these are kids making these decisions, and in a lot of cases they are being advised by other kids, and everyone has an inflated sense of self worth, that thought has probably never been considered

is there enough on film for him to have impressed the NFL?

No. Seriously, what has he really done so far? Yes, there seems to be a lot of upside but he has hardly played. If I am an NFL team I'm not spending a meaningful draft pick on a guy who can't even stay on the field.

I am sure the NFL Scouts will look at the fact that he actually didn't get dominated by Texas and had a sack, 5 QB hurries and 5 tackles vs a very good offense.

he was actually really good in that game despite being held all night.

All that being said, he probably has to play some games.

LF7 had a monster sophmore year, and was realyl godo when he played his junior year.

Chaisson blew out his knee last year.

We clearly know we will score enough points to carry a wounded defense over the next game or so, but he can't miss 9 games and still go pro.

He will have to do a lot better than that. There was no pass rush against Texas.

I mean we have 10 other players on the field. He did his part very well> i agree he wasn't a one man wrecking crew, but the NFL isn't going to ignore the fact that he was very good in that game even if you are.

Chaisson is very good. And a great pro prospect. But he will need to put more on tape than what we saw against Texas. Cosmi won.

As of right now, he's definitely coming back. He's a great paper Tiger, but hasn't proven anything on the field yet. If he has a phenomenal final 8-11 games this year, then perhaps he goes early and hopes to get drafted high on his potential. Or he can come back, hope to finally have the season everyone expected, and actually get drafted high.

I agree wiht all of this

Cosmi won.

Don't agree with that.

Cosmi got beat and was holding on almsot every play, and Chaisson still got pressure on the QB and a sack. Thats what the tape shows.

The coaches should act as if he’s leaving and go from there. If he comes back, great for LSU.

I'm wondering if he and Delpit are already looking forward to the NFL. Could explain a lot about what's happening now, never mind next year.

Could easily be a top five first round pick.

He's sitting at the third round currently just based on potential, IMO.

Would be a reach in the 2nd round.

Chaisson just has a tendency to get hurt for some reason.

totally different situation. Chaisson at this point is entirely potential. He didn't do much his freshman year but showed potential. He played 1 game as a sophomore and has played 2/4 games this year (I'm counting Vandy). If he only plays a handful of games I could see him coming back because it's not likely he gets drafted before the 3rd round based on his body of work to date.

Chaisson
Is always hurt. There is no game tape to support the hype. How in the world would he go 1st or early 2 round without any highlight reels? If he wants to go he needs to step up his game...

I cannot imagine him staying. I hope he gets back soon and has a monster season.

He should come back unless he decides to play like a first rounder. So far he hasn’t.

He has done nothing to prove he is an early draft entry. Hes fresh off a major knee surgery and is already hurt again... nobody is going to touch this guy in the first 3 rounds at this point in time. Should come back to improve stock next year and show he can stay healthy.

If he has a few good games in SEC play, especially Bama, then it won’t matter how many games he missed
