This would only affect 3-4 teams tops. You would know if the winner of the SECCG would make the playoff at that point. The other 1 or 2 games would be upper tier bowl games with sec tie ins. Not a big deal.

Not possible. This would impact not only the CFP selection, but also all of the Bowl games who can't fully put their operations in motion until they know who is playing in their games. No way that many people and organizations are getting inconvenienced by one game.

simpler fix
If the game cant be played at the scheduled venue, the hosting school must locate a new venue OR forfeit the game.

The only fix is if the teams cancel their Presbyterian/S. Alabama games and face off on Nov. 9.

Last year when navy was at the top of their conference the playoff committee had already stated if Houston lost to navy they would have to wait until after army navy to set the new years bowls so it could be done if the Georgia dome would allow them to push the game back

There are no early bowl games that would be impacted. The first bowl game involving a power 5 conference is dec 23rd and the first bowl game involving an sec school is dec 26th.

Too much of an anti-SEC sentiment out there for them to accommodate the SEC. The other conferences would cry about it.

Why should the playoff committee have to push their operation back a week due to the incompetence of Florida?
