Don't remember seeing it but sorry if it was already shared.

A little long but worth the read.

"Ed Orgeron Is the Beacon of Light Down on the Bayou"

SI.com

quote:

Children, their books in hand, crossed Bayou Lafourche for school on a ferry operated by Ed Orgeron's grandfather, Julian. He's pictured here during a ferry cross. He's the older man wearing the hat on the right front side of the ferry.

Kind of tired of the “old poor Louisiananians all they have is LSU football and Coach O” angle.

If that's what the ignorant choose to believe, let them.

I stopped reading Larry, thank you

Just saying it’d be nice to just enjoy our team’s success without painting this narrative of us being an impoverished people who’s sole joy in life hinges upon the success of the football team.

Hey BilJ
Go cheer for your pathetic excuse for a football team and let LSU bask in it's glory of being National Champions come Monday. We're proud of our Louisiana heritage.

Did you take the time to read the entire article?

It’s really well written & talks about the loss of O&G business across LA & how it has affected families close to Coach O, same as seafood industry.
Also brings up how Cajun French isn’t common anymore, that made me think about being younger, I had friends whose grandparents only spoke CF, they never learned.
