I think your being serious and not attempting sarcasm.... I believe JJ played as well as he could and gave 100%. Same with JL. But... Mett will bring what we have been lacking at the qb position. (Although, the first 9 games the position was pretty solid), Mett has the kind of arm and presence that will elevate a pretty good offense to a very very good offense. I cant wait..Mett will be the salve to ease the pain of the whole JJ/JL drama...

Douse the torch with bourbon. Mett will light his own torch thank you. It's called "LSU finally has a normal quarterback" torch.

Too bad the ceremony wasn't last Sunday. Then the record would be 25-2.

And FOR THE RECORD - Jefferson is 15-3 as an LSU starter the last two seasons.

I can't understand people thinking Jefferson is responsible for LSU's winning record. He has had maybe 3 or 4 games in his career where you could say he really looked good other than that the defense or special teams kept us winning games not Jefferson. Without the defense being as good we would have had a losing record the last three years.

We don't want jj to pass anything to mett.

Especially not a shovel pass.

They tried that, but the torch fell incomplete

The only torch ceremony that would be worth watching is when they blow out the torch of JJ...Your time at LSU is over...

I think JJ should be officially known as "That QB we will never speak of again"

How many of those 24 wins does JL get credit for?

LSU won all those games in spite of JJ, not because of him.

Here are some answers i expected to see

1. JJ would just tuck the torch and run it for 3 on third and long

2. JJ would hold onto the torch too long and take a sack

3. JJ would just flip the torch to a Bama linebacker

4. JL should be given a chance to pass the Torch

The torch is still with Matt Flynn somewhere in Wisconsin.
