Clemson would be 7-5 in the SEC though. Hell, they wen't 0-2 this year alone and only mustered 17 total points. That being said, a one off game for them against a team who notoriously starts slow will be trouble for LSU. Especially if Nuss doesn't come back.

Except Bama won their OOC games this year.

we will need to asses how many P4 non-conference games make sense in the future to put us in the best position to participate in the CFP.

The one benefit to these difficult OOC games is that it could be used as a tie breaker if committee is deciding between those teams at the end of season. It could end up getting us in the playoff if we beat them and we are both on the bubble.

No, don’t cancel since we already committed to playing them.

The issue here is BK is 0-3 season openers at LSU and there is no indication that he is capable of turning that around. So hell yeah cancel it because it's a guaranteed L otherwise

For sure. However, can you imagine the negative backlash we would get for canceling a season opener that’s less than 10 months away. The media already loves fricking with BK. This would make it 10 times worse.

Based on fan attendance, LSU and the community will make more money from Clemson's return trip than from 2 years of rent-a-wins. People bitch about attendance then say we should schedule more cupcakes. Is USC a top 15 team? LSU should have won that game easy. Flip that one and Florida, does LSU make it in?

No because we’re gonna kick Clemson arse and Brian Kelly is finally going to win a dam opener!! We got some young studs coming up and I still think we have fantastic assistant coaches.
