Should LSU even be considering going after Nick Saban ?

Its been reported in the last day or two that Alabama HC Nick Saban is among the coaches on the LSU wishlist. We all know that Nick Saban is not very popular among the citizens of Louisiana. If LSU were to hire Saban back, there would probably be a big revolt among LSU fans. However, I have seen some crazier things happen in Louisiana in my 51 years. Would Saban even consider leaving Alabama? My guess is that he would if the money is right and the LSU AD promises him complete control over the LSU football program.

I mean, our athletic foundation has more available cash and assets than theirs. Just saying.
However, Texas couldn't get the job done so we wont.
But why not. Nothing to lose.

There would be no revolt, it would be pure elation. Nothing wrong with going after Saban, you never know if you don't ask so what would it hurt to ask. He may miss BR, the job wasn't open when he came back into college football. Why not ask? If I were the LSU admin and I did ask it would be completely on the down low and nobody would know shite until he showed up and did the press conference.

Like that they would pay him more to keep him, but do you realize the threats he would get from the gumps if he came here? The guy would have to hire extra security against those nuts.

Nick Saban is pretty much the best coach in the history of college football and if you need a coach, there is absolutely no reason that we should not go after the best.
tiger fans would be a little pissy, but after winning a couple of games, they would fall in line and worship him like sheep.

There is no way in hell Sexton has not already been in the Alabama AD's office dangling that LSU is after Saban

A. He's not starting over at 65 or 66.
B. He's not leaving Bama and what he has built.
C. If he didn't leave for Texas, he ain't leaving for LSU.
D. How many more years does he have left in the tank.
E. Why give him such a great marketing story to use against us.
F. Don't look back.
I appreciate what Saban did to lay the foundation for the most successful period in LSU history but he left us. Screw him.

That's not really "reporting" it's just singling out LSU from the "every school" wish list.

Doubt it.

If it actually came down to it, Alabama would find a way to suspend all govt spending and route it to Saban. They would give him a 15 billion dollar raise if they needed to.
If you believe this at all.. Let me clear it up.. it's not happening.. It'll be more satisfying to beat him anyhow.

And that elation would come from Bama's loss, not LSU's gain.

We have so many fans like Harvey Updyke that Saban may have to have secret service protection of he were to leave Alabama and go to another school! Lol

What if he hire Les and named him assistant head coach and then quit and went to LSU? You want to talk about a meltdown! It would make Chernobyl look like a beer spill!

IF there was a chance that lil Nicky would consider leaving bama, EVERY university AD in the country would offer him an open check book, the AD's left nut and promise that more than half of the attendees of their first game would line up to kiss his arse before entering the stadium...
