Should LSU Bring Back Silent Season Uniforms for Army Game?

We don’t have to do anything special for Army other than just be LSU.
We don’t have to wear different uniforms, cheer for them when they score, or do anything to “match” Army’s patriotism.
Just be ourselves, enjoy having them here, and appreciate a special moment. That’s all.

BK said they were doing some special things in pregame and would spring a couple of things representative of that saturday against Army should be. I just have a hunch their will be a uniform tweak or maybe a special uniform unveiled for this game. It has been a few years that they have worn anything totally outside the normal scheme.

This is a football game. They’re the opponent in a game. They’re tough SOBs that don’t need or want a pity treatment during a game. The respect you show them will be to treat them as the opponent in a game they chose to play. This isn’t war, it’s a game they love to play. They’ll expect and more than likely want to see what Tiger Stadium is all about. To cheer them and treat them differently is just weird for all involved.

They’d probably appreciate it if we wore the traditional white jerseys with gold helmets and gold pants to give them the true Tiger Stadium experience. We don’t need alternate uniforms - ever.

We will be wearing purple in this game probs tho right? Non conference game that isn’t the home opener. I love to see the purple jersey every now and then.

You are going the wrong direction. If we make any uniform changes, we should gravitate toward our early 60s look…Dijon gold, grey face masks, black shoes, and numbers on the helmets. it’s the Dietzel Bowl, after all.

Yea they look good-- but they would look even better with that same helmet and pants, and a purple jersey in that "silent season" style
