Topic is question.

Honestly, I think he needs to pad his stats as much as possible prior to Heisman voting.

No.

Get his work in in the 1st half, maybe opening drive of 2nd half, that's it at most.

Depends on how many points the defense is giving up.

Well, he could go for Mahomes' record of 800+ total yards. That would pretty much lock up the Heisman.

No.

I think if anything, it would hurt him with the media. What he did against SEC teams is a natural product of the game, he had to show out in competitive games to win (or try to, in the Ole Miss and Bama games). He was great while competing.

This game won't be competitive, and if he plays and racks up insane stats in a 80 pt blowout, it would just seem like LSU is trying to win him the award, at the expense of sportsmanship.

Really? Do you think Bo Nix or Michael Penix Jr. are going to sit?

Why Not? He shouldn't be touched in this game, pad those stats

Game flow will depend on how much PT he is going to get.

Any voter that votes on stats is already voting for Daniels anyway. No reason to leave him in to pad stats vs a cupcake.

It is not the team objective to win the Heisman. The team needs him healthy for TAM and a bowl game. IF what he's done to date won't win it a bunch of yards against Georgia State won't help much unless the DUMB voters mistake the for the Bulldogs.

I have no doubt that he'll have 400 yards passing and 4 touchdowns by 7:50 in the 3rd quarter.

At that point, I think it would be perfectly ok to pull him.

Lot of guys are writing off UGAState as a patsy. They’re not. Will give LSU a run through the middle of second quarter and have fans disgusted.

LSU just might need Jayden to put them away late in third quarter. And then score escalates as Tigers wear them out.

Mindset of fans is off base, hope players and coaches feel differently. This is situation that leads to careless injuries.

They can pull him after he's accounted for 400+ yards and 4-5 touchdowns.

He needs to run it up. 10 wins and a Heisman are the only things this team is playing for.

It may be more beneficial for him to play more these last two games to improve his draft stock and for the Heisman. There's a risk for injury, sure, but he's not a first rounder in many people's eyes. If he shows out these last two games, he gets that first round money, even if he doesn't win the Heisman.

I think the right answer is consultation with JD if/when we are up a ton a half to see what his thoughts are.
JD loves football so I’d let it be his decision if the game is in hand.
He knows what’s at stake at the amateur level and professional so should be his.
To add we can’t win it for him so I think he will play into the late 3rd and his stats will be enough for G State.
Need to give Nuss reps anyway.

Pad the passing stats - no scrambling after halftime.

We might have a competitive game knowing our defense.
