Won’t burn a redshirt, makes sense to me.

If Howard's still redshirting Nuss needs the work. Running QBs do get hurt. Even if it's just a series here and there and not multiple games we will be seeing Nuss.

Play Daniels a half, Nuss a quarter, and Howard a quarter.

New Mexico defense is pretty good. They'll be some garbage time but nothing like Southern.

Absolutely, Nuss is transferring at the end of this year. Like our stud frosh o-linemen, Peerkins, etc. get him reps.

No sense in playing Howard if he is gonna hand off. He needs to throw it. That was a wasted game they put him in. He only has 4 if they want to red shirt him.

Yes. And no one should give a shite about a redshirt.

Nuss needs snaps regardless if he is the backup and we have the game in hand. Hopefully he can have a better outing than what happened against Southern so he can build some confidence in case we need him due to injury this year. We can't toss him in the garbage for the bad Southern performance even though his accuracy and decision-making need obvious significant improvements.

I think you need to work the guy second in line more than the guy that we want to hold an extra year.

I keep seeing this. LSU only has 2 more OOC games and I highly doubt Howard will play in a SEC game.

That means he actually will have an extra game that if there is some sort of injuries making it to where he has to play in it.

If the coaches feel like he has passed up Nuss, sure. If not, no. Whatever the coaches decide and whoever they think will start next year.

I'm not giving up on Nussmeier.

I worry we're going to be in big trouble if Daniels gets hurt, but if Nuss can actually settle down and just run the offense instead of playing hero ball, I still think we can win with him.

I think he should get some time but not over Nuss. I get it, Nuss didn't play well vs Southern but the guy also pushed our current starter for all he was worth.

I don't think you give up on a kid because he was pressing too hard to make a play when he finally got a chance. If he throws ugly picks vs New Mexico then maybe you look at the other guy.

Nuss issues are always third down. He freaks out if he thinks we may have to punt

The problem with doing that is what if you find yourself in the situation we were in last season, and he can't QB a game because he would burn his redshirt? What if Daniels gets injured and Nuss decides to transfer after the regular season? You don't want to be in a position that you've used your four game appearances. And remember, we could have a couple forced on us by injuries. So no, I would not do it. Or maybe one more. Then you could get your third against UAB at the end of the season, and put him in when we're running out the clock on Aggie, lol.
