$17M feels like such an insignificant amount of money in cfb, and it's only been 4 years.

Nope, she cheated. Hell no. Alimony is bullshite. She has plenty enough to live on with what she already got. No more of the lifestyle the woman is accustomed to crap.

If he was smart they cut a deal with arbitration, save attorney fees and close it out sooner

She should get half of it

Why? What the frick did she do to earn it?

This mindset of a spouse getting half of the shite the other worked for is yet another reason why the people who work or take the risks don't want to be married.

Explain to me like I’m a kid why this woman is owed this money. She did nothing but help him screw up their marriage.

She raised children while he coached at various universities, was out on the recruiting trail and whatever else coaches do that take them away from their families.

Should she get half? Don't know, but the divorce took place in a community property state and his coaching contract was signed here in Louisiana and O's firing terms/payout was part of said contract.

I can already picture it, Kelly will definitely be appearing soon on the upcoming 'Housewives of Ex-Football-Coaches" Bravo series.

Enough with the dramatics, he needed to be fired when he was fired, but Brian Kelly got us in the SEC Championship game and won 10 games in his first year after O was fired. If the program had been destroyed, Kelly would have had no chance to do that. O never even had a regular season below .500 and the team was actually still playing competitive in his last few games at LSU.

Also, that 2019 team will forever be remembered as one of the best college teams of all time with who they beat and how they performed. And O will always be linked to that team since he coached and recruited a lot of the talent on that team.

The dude made poor decisions after 2019 and it seemed like a miracle that we won a national championship with him, but it happened and he played his part in that.
