Shifting QBs won’t fix the issues.

People keep acting like putting in MVB will help. It won’t. This is not a player problem.
It is a coaching problem. Sloan is the problem. He blackmailed LSU into an undeserved promotion by leveraging Underwood’s commitment and BK stupidly caved. Guy is a glorified high school position coach living off Jayden Daniels growth as a 5th year senior.
He had little or nothing to do with JD’s growth. He failed as a play caller at La Tech, and has failed both year’s now at LSU and it is worse as he got more control this year.
Players all look lost. Offense has no identity and the playcalling is atrocious and predictable.
Talent alone gets them a few successful plays.
You can blame the OL all you want, but it is entirely on Sloan. BK refused to do the right thing and hire a legit OC if he was going to replace Denbrock while left in part to BK trying to pander to Sloan and giving him Co-OC duties/title. M
The fact that Kelly didn’t fire Sloan the second Underwood signed with Michigan shows he refuses to make the changes to his mistakes immediately and he wasted yet another year and probably even more.

Did anyone really believe that Underwood would ever play a down for LSU?

They’re all to blame. HC, OC, position coaches, players.
All of them. It isn’t on one or the other. But if you change the qb you can mask some of these problems.

MVB will at least pick up first downs with his legs. That alone is an upgrade.

Throwing a running qb in there against a 3 man rush wouldn't have helped? I'm not calling for Nuss to be benched but use the correct tool for the job. Let MVB run around while they drop 8 back. Once they get honest go back to Nuss

To put in to perspective how bad our offense is…
Arky offense with our defense pounds OM in a mudhole. UK offense with our defense could have win that game based on points they scored on OM.

These people are ignorant mental midgets who know little about football.

Proof of this?

It may not but at this point I cant hurt. This Offense is Broke. MVB is not necessarily a Dual Threat but is more than capable of doing so. That alone cannot hurt. I think he should at least be given the 1st Quarter of the SC to see if he can help jump start the Offense.

Kelly’s time in college football is over as far as having any major success. Things changed quickly on him. It happens to the best of them. He is done in this era

Enlighten us, wise one.

Oline is pretty bad, worse ive seen in a long time and scheme(coaching) makes this offense bad. Under the circumstances mvb is only a bandaid to add his legs into an otherwise very crippled offense. Your offense will always be only as good as your "oline" is. We are fricked.
Nuss isnt a game changer to make the offense good in light of the above. JD5 was a game changer.

MVB is mobile, so it can’t hurt. The only way Kelly plays him is if Nuss gets hurt, so it doesn’t matter.

They should at least have packages for MVB. We win that game yesterday if he played at least three to four series.

Well, luckily for us, he’s already hurt. And with this revolving door line we have, he may get even more hurt.

quote:Nussmeier is definitely one of the biggest problems. He still makes bad decisions and now he doesn’t have the arm to make up for it.

Sure it is, Garret Nussmeir is god awful.
Underwood was recruited to come here and start. Why? because Kelly and Loan know exactly what Nuss is, a turnover machine. Whats maddening is every time he throws in to double, triple coverage somebody is WIDE OPEN.
I get it, great kid, great family, loves Jesus blah blah blah. Put his arse on the on the bench.

Players are not responsible for horrid coaching hire decisions.

Do you think they are keeping the three man front with MVB in there? How cute.

While I agree somewhat, a mobile qb would mask some of the issues. Currently Nuss brings nothing to the table. He is not a threat to run and he's been wildly inaccurate. They should let MVB play a few series just to see.
