Just yesterday on the OT we were discussing how well Botswana was doing in Sub-Saharan Africa and how they were on the major incline.
Outside of war they're going to keep improving.
Kenya is starting to turn the corner.
Nigeria can. They've had struggles since 2014 or so but the good news is they didn't do what SSA have done post-independence when this happens and devolve into total war and chaos. Digging its economy out from the downslope of the development/deflation curve is a good sign.

And as a corollary, people not to argue with those they can easily dismiss. It's not worth the effort.
So you (and lots of those on this board) spend time and energy on him because he irks you. But part of that is that you cannot easily dismiss him.
Why? Is your argument that he gets called out on the PT (by name in the titles no less) because he is so wrong? There are a lot more people with a lot dumber arguments in this board.
So no, I don't know if he is correct or not. I do tend to find him at least thoughtful. I just know a large number of people spend time calling out a specific poster. To me, that's a not just notable, that's actually amusing.
However, there is an alternative theory, at least for a subsection of posters. It might be that people enjoy the clash of ideas. This very much might be your motivation. And he clearly does as well.
And honestly, the PT could use more of that.
