What are the chances of finding another young upstart like Brady? Probably better odds to find a proven younger OC with a modern passing game pedigree.

Also helps to have a Heisman trophy winner as your QB. Makes lots of people look good

There’s a plan... actually a pretty damn good one from what I’ve heard.

Does it involve this?

I think you have that in Russ Callaway.

Linehan needs to be gone. And find another young PGC to ride Calloway.

I agree, Look at LSU's offensive stats. You go with Brennan for 3 games, he is hurt, you put in a gameplan tor TJ, he plays 5 games, has some good games and bad games, but you gave him an opportunity and you have 5 starts to grade him on before Spring ball. Max gets 2 starts and you put together a game plan for him, and he doesn't have Marshall, Racey, top 2 returning WR's that did not opt out and Gilbert.

E wasn't that bad in 2018 but he was terrible in 3rd down calling and red zone calling.

Brady helped us get in top 15 and top 5 for both.

This year... we are ranked 102 in 3rd down conversion and 68 in red zone scoring.

That's terrible.

Lsuoffense is not a problem. Obviously the haters don’t even watch the games.

Defense was bad... defense was not good in 2019.

Does Nielsen have any coordinator experience?

If I'm O, I'm taking no chances with this hire. His job could be on the line.

I'd suspect not. Not an OC and Bo is coming.

A little of both actually. Two big pieces are getting OC and DC in place and then allowing them to hand pick what they want. They are basically getting blank checks from the TAF to get the staff they want outside of a few spots.

So safe to say this is Os last chance at coordinators?

I mean no way he gets to make another round of hires if these don't pan out?

Yes. Northern Illinois and a smaller school.

Also helps that he has been a recruiting coordinator at P5 school

But 3rd down calls and red zone calls were the responsibility of Linehan. That is what he was hired for.

Vol, what about O? I was so disappointed with the off the field issues. I’m a mom of young kids who look up to him. But I wouldn’t mind him staying on. He may not be able to with all the investigation stuff?

Unless O is implicated in title ix, which I think he possibly skates on, he is safe. You can't fire a coach the year after a NC like last year.

And what off the field stuff were you disappointed in? The picture with the gi? Sure he shouldn't have allowed that to get out but he is divorced and an adult, he should be able to sleep with whom ever he wants.

As a fellow parent of 3 young boys, I can say that you need to be a better parent if you think that has any effect on your children. When I think of things that affect my kids, it's Ridiculous to even have that in the top 500 things. Further more, why are your kids seeing that anyways if they are young? Do a better job of being a parent and controlling what they see on the internet. Not like it's being blasted during games.

Now I'm not excusing him letting that get out. He is the essential CEO and public fave of a 100 million dollar a year company. He has to do better and be better. The title ix is a much bigger issue imo and as someone who loves LSU the school, if he had any involvement in the cover up, his arse should be gone in a heart beat.

But your assertion that as a mom of young kids who look up to him and you are disappointed in off the field stuff....well it's asinine. He is allowed to sleep with whomever he wants. Not like he made his wife do what she was doing or didn't beg her to stop. He is an adult and can do whatever, just needs to do a better job of keeping it private. And you need to do a better job as a parent.

Lets don't turn people into Lepers. His show clause suspension is over, and you think he might have been a fall guy at Alabama to prevent show clauses from other more important position coaches, Pruitt, Kirby, etc.

Maybe so. And in most years I would agree with you on the Davis hire. But LSU has its football program going through an IARP investigation. I don't think the added scrutiny of a proven shady recruiter is really worth the benefit at THIS particular position. Your HC is purportedly one of the best DL recruiters and coaches in the country. Now, if he were being hired as the OL coach, QB', etc., then the added scrutiny would maybe worth it.

I not naïve enough to think LSU doesn't engage in the same "shady" recruiting tactics as all of the other big time SEC players. It's just that THIS potential hire doesn't seem to be worth it a THIS particular time.

You honestly believe Bo would come in and follow the same path Saban had him go down?

I mean we’re already being investigated. They’re already going to find what they’re going to find. Hiring a defensive line coach isn’t going to change that.

Sorry, did you watch the A&M game this year? We should have won that game, and the offense let us down.

sounds like most of the staff is gone. Faulk, Joseph, Raymond are the only ones confirmed safe. Ensminger stays on staff but reassigned. Bo Davis in to coach DL.

So less than a year removed from 15-0, E and Busch, the two guys that brought in Burrow and Brady, are “gone” or “reassigned”. TYFYS GTFO, O

At least Bo Davis’ show cause order is up!!

Guess we’re going full on Wild Finch Boyz in BR now
