Tough run in the first year of the program for McMahon.

People have been warning of this since the day we fired WW and almost the whole team left. This is and always was going to be a rough year. The Arky win might be the worst thing to happen to the fans. Gave too many false hope and elevated expectations. This is a total tear down and rebuild

Gotta get through this stretch and hopefully beat Texas Tech (rock fight type of game) and steal another win somewhere. Auburn is susceptible when they get shot happy and have an off night. Gotta stack some wins against the likes of Ole Miss, Vandy, UGA and South Carolina. Think we can still crawl to 6-7 SEC wins but it’s gonna be tough to keep morale high with some of these looming arse kickings. Tennessee and bama are gonna go in dry and Arkansas will be out for revenge.

I thought they would go undefeated with zero returning players and a new coach.

I thought we’d be in the top 4 of the league with the loaded roster the General left.

There will be a few “Fire McMahon and bring back Will Wade” threads during this stretch guaranteed

Apparently people forgot that Wade got schooled by Steve Forbes at East Tennessee and lost to Keith Smart at the PMAC.

The best thing he had going was his wife’s bank account. Maybe he can float a loan to McMahon

“Johnny Jones wasn’t this bad!”

“Fire MM and hire Brady until the end of the season!”

“Coach K is available. Just saying!”

I expected a rough year and I’d be surprised if they win more than 4 or 5 conference games. The discouraging thing to me is recruiting for next year isn’t looking good at the moment.

I had zero expectations for this team! I give all the credit to McMahon in knowing what the road would be for LSU basketball and he still excepted the job.

Let's circle back to this in a couple of years and see where we're at. Wade is the one everyone should be throwing stones at. He was lazy, careless and a moron.

I was optimistic at the start of SEC play even though the schedule was a weak one, but I'm back down to reality and expect us to be mid to low pack in SEC.

Coming in with only transfers CMM was in an impossible position with the transfer portals. I don't think we will get the surprise performance we saw in football this year. The SEC has gotten so tough in BB.

Lack of rebounding is a killer. It seems like the games I've been able to watch the rebounding has been terrible. I can understand the UK game and Oscar and even the UF game, but it has to be better.
I haven't seen enough of the 7ft freshman, do we develop him this season to rebound and get a big body inside. It's a lot to ask of a freshman but he looks the part the way he moves.

I think more mid range jumpers need to be taken instead of hoping Miller gets hot at the 3 pts.

The rebounds rely on the guards in a 3 guard lineup. Last night they did better but overall Miller and Hill have been absent on helping box out. They allow a ton of penetration as well. Unfortunately last night they went ice cold shooting as well.

I don't mind them shooting, but the focus has to be on getting the ball to KJ and Fountain first. I also think that Hannibal needs to come off the bench. Teams are focusing on him too much as a starter.

WW had us competitive in his first year as coach. Y'all can make all the excuses you want. Scoring 57 on a bad Florida team at home is unacceptable.

Players on this team are not sec caliber players . Coach will need sometime to recruit that type of player and understand that players that do well in whatever league Murry St is in does not work in Sec .

WW took a 2 win sec team and made it competitive.

MM had no team thanks to Woody. Now he can still make us competitive.

As already stated in this thread it’s not these results that concern me long term it’s MM not recruiting well that will be the killer.

You can be as great as you want at x and o and development but if you can’t get talent you can’t win in the sec.

Did the NCAA ever take any action against Will Wade?

I hope no one is saying this.

Three of LSU's worst seasons in history came in the Trent Johnson and Johnny Jones regimes.
