You're comparing apples with oranges.
Saying KW or AH needs to work on such-and-such, shouldn't be starting, isn't as good as other SEC players at his position, is not a recognized team leader, etc. = FINE
Saying KW or AH should have never gotten a scholly, hurt the team last year, you wish they would have never come to LSU, etc. = SHITTINESS
Learn the difference.
This is why people stick up for many of the players with less talent. Not because we think they're necessarily greater guys or anything; it's because we think it's fricking disgusting the way some people talk about them.
Nobody ever said LSU would be better off without Keiland Williams and that they wish he was somewhere else. Thus, not surprisingly, there isn't really a whole lot of effort necessary to tell people to STFU about KW. Maybe he should be getting more playing time, and maybe he shouldn't, but all things considered, he's getting a relatively fair shake at LSU and things are working out okay for him and his football career.

Case in point, Flynn vs. JaMarcus. Some people on here complain that it must be a race thing that caused everyone on here to overwhelmingly believe that Flynn was better than JaMarcus. And that is simply delusional. Very few people on here ever actually claimed that Flynn was a better QB. And yet, to these racist racebaiters, every comment defending Flynn equals an automatic racist-inspired insistance that he was better than JaMarcus.
There has been almost a year (at least) of consistent posts about Hatch that he is not an SEC-caliber QB. SFP would have you believe that every single one of them sparked multiple posts of outrage because he is white. That is absolutely bullshite because the VAST majority of them never sparked any disagreement at all, much less any outrage. But when people start making needlessly harsh comments about a guy who is transferring, some people defended him -- in EXACTLY the same way that SOME people would defend any other LSU player, and ALSO in the same way that SFP and others always defend Keiland, JaMarcus, Jefferson, etc. -- and all of a sudden SFP acts like every negative post about Hatch sparks outrage.
I would challenge SFP to go back and find every negative comment about Hatch and count up how many responses they have gotten over the last year and a half. I know that he won't because he knows as well as anyone else that his claim is bullshite; most of the negative comments about Hatch go completely unremarked upon. And yet, he pulls this out because he believes it is an opportunity for him to complain about racism on this board. He does this because he is a shite stirrer, and because it generates board activity (which is his real purpose). I don't have a problem with generating board activity.
I do have a problem with people twisting the truth and flat out lying to exaggerate whatever race problems might exist among the LSU fanbase, including the rant. It's disingenuous bullshite, and more importantly it looks bad for the school.

no what brought out racial comments was the fact that people said flynn was smarter and more accurate. neither are close to being true, and i still have yet to figure out how these attributes could have been associated with the argument other than racial stereotypes
THAT comparison had a big racial component. i have been painfully clear that race isn't the only factor

Russell had the higher completion percentage and passer rating. Those are usually pretty good indicators.

Yes it is. There are countless people who will call up and use that. I used to get callers all the time that said Russell wasn't as smart as Flynn or Mauck because they have rings.

The 2006 team had a better season than the 2007 team. It just so happened that all the cards fell in LSU's favor in the last week of the season.

You can't quantify football smarts with higher completions and passer ratings. One guy was a genetic freak who could make any throw he wanted, the other had a decent arm and decent foot speed.
Also, JR had more playing time going into his second year. He was basically splitting time with Randall for an entire season.
