Are these pinstripes some of the finest of LSU uniforms?

Not total but they did expand players allowed on scholarship to 32 and did away with the 25% minimum rule for this year. Total roster size was also expanded to no cap on roster size
Didnt they wait to make those changes till the end of summer when it was basically too late to make big changes? And any guys you added at that time weren’t going to be that great or be contributors. Look at Mizzou. They have like 45 on the roster and they’re still shite.

Announced the change in early to mid June. I think it would have been possible to find some JUCO arms in June. Missouri is a bad example. They’re not exactly the same draw we are.

Gotcha. Could have sworn it was later than that because I remember the decision to add scholarships kept getting delayed.

They were though

I heard Cain on radio flat out say they decided on less than most other teams. Something about the “LSU way” or something.

More than likely they didn’t want to have to sort it out next year. But it was a choice that will hamper them all year

More than likely they didn’t want to piss someone off and cut their scholarship below 25% like they could have this year

It was in June right before the draft.

Also, this year there is no limit. Next year it’s 38. Then it’s back to 35 like normal. Pretty sure Project shared that not long ago.

That’s roster spots not scholarships. They have more roster spots but the same amount of scholarships. The only thing they granted was greater freedom in how to break up those scholarships.

that was my understanding as well. And we weren’t the only ones. I think we have 38. Basically, we didn’t make any cuts in the fall.

It was poor judgment not to increase scholarship limits for at least this year. They could have added roster spots to a girls sports to offset the difference for any Title IX issues

They are very classy and harken to the championship style of the Tigers of yore .

I am not a fan of the block style the
