I bought 2 tickets to take my son to his first baseball game and Section 101 Row 8 was the best available when the tickets went to on sale to the public.

How is the view from these seats?

Should I try to get better seats?

You didn’t see a stadium seating chart before you bought them? Very last section down right field line adjacent to outfield fence. So yeah, you might want to.

Yeah those aren't the best seats. Be prepared to leave with a crick in your neck.

Go check seat geek. They have tickets behind home plate. They are pricey ATM but as we get closer to gameday they will gradually become lower.

I'd try to grab some premium seating the night before or the day of the game.

Those aren't terrible seats. They are close to bathrooms, new bullpen, playground, beer and concessions. I wouldn't worry about it and just enjoy the game.

What day? You won't be under a cover if rain comes Friday/Saturday. Also not the greatest view.

How old is your son? I think I sat in 102 when I brought my sons to their first game. Back then they loved it because they got to watch the pitchers warm up. It’s all about the experience. It’s not a great view in 101 but you will have fun. If the kid is young, the playground is close by.

Download the gametime app and lock in lsu as a favorite… I went omaha doing that, several home football games, couple concerts , etc. realtime pricing updates and you can see the seating chart overlaid with the ticket locations

Yeah, but those were all that was available at the time on LSU's site and I wanted to make sure I got them since it's his birthday.

I promise you gametime will have plenty of good seats as we get closer - not scalped most of the time. I got in to see tcu and whoever they opened omaha with last year because I was bored of Jell-O shots - cost me $18 to sit 15 rows up behind their on deck circle

His first game? Get there early, plan to stay late, and stand down the lines. My dad smoked when I was a kid and we stood down in the outfield on the old wood ramp. To this day when we get tickets we rarely ever sit. Don’t worry about the view.

Stadium will be 50-60% full…
You’ll be able to move down into the grandstand most likely

I’ve sat in 102 about a dozen times. There really isn’t anything wrong with the seats. I think you’ll be fine.

If you wanted to spend a bit more, there are seats behind home plate that are still available. They should be cheaper Thursday night if still available

Pretty lousy.

If you don't get better seats, just wait until the second or third inning and then drift down the right field bleachers towards home plate and sit in any vacant seats.

With the 2 o'clock game start, there will be a significant number of no shows.

If the ticket holder for those seats shows up late, just move over to other vacant seats.

You'll be fine.

Don’t let standing room only tickets freak you out. Get some food and a beer and find a good place to stand. It’s not that bad. By end of the 4th open seats are free game. Be friendly with ushers and they’ll show you a good place to sit
