I’d move Curiel out of the lead off spot for now

These are not the stats of even a decent offensive team

There are people on this board that want this guy benched.

Don’t think anyone has said this. They’ve just questioned if he should be starting against lefties.

Our hope at this point needs to be that the SEC just has pitching on a completely different level than the rest of the country and that we will hit non SEC pitching in the regional and supers.

Once we are in Omaha, it’ll be about timely hitting a pitching well.

when you see a lot of BB closer to K like you see here, you are in for some bad batted-ball luck.

Bear needs to be 5th or 6th. Strikes out way too much to bat 2nd.

Bear and Milam could walk more but they refuse to lay off the elevated fastball

Why is the focus always on Brown? It’s obvious other dudes can’t hit righties or lefties but they never get brought up. There was a point in time where “Frey can’t hit righties” but they stuck with him and now he is our hottest hitter. Hitters hit and we have a lineup loaded with dudes who either cant hit or simply aren’t but we want to take away at bats from one of our best hitters.

And also, this narrative that he can’t hit lefties is really skewed bc the at bats are so low, it would only take a few hits for that average to jump and people be like “Rake Brown crushes lefties”

If it’s a matter of getting Pearson in the lineup that’s a fine argument to have, but you should look outside of just Brown.

This is what happens when people cherry pick stats to include games against the best pitching staffs we've faced all year (and will face all year until Omaha).

So not a power hitting group but lots of them strikeout as frequently as they can get a hit.

For a point of reference, SEC batting average for all players on all teams is .266.
