we should, we've certainly seen enough of them. if only Cabrera would show some improvement, we'd be really tough to beat.

Fla St Coach is pitching his top lefty in game 1, and his ace in game 2. He happens to be the top winning college baseball coach of all time, so it might be wise to show some concern and respect towards his strategy.

What strategy are you talking about? He was always going to pitch his 1&2 pitchers in games 1&2. There’s literally no strategy there.

Fla's State coach's pitching rotation is his strategy. Curious as to how Fla State fans are reacting to who should start game 1 and 2? I know LSU fans have often had heated debates over Mainieri's pitching rotation.

My Florida State friend said Martin NEVER changes his rotation for Super Regionals. Always the same rotation as the regular season. Don’t overthink the strategy. And I do like his logic with this thinking. It’s been working for 40 dang years...

Statistics suggest the winner of game 1 advances.

if history repeats, the lsu hitters will have it hard for the first 5 or 6 innings...if they can plug away maybe we can run him in the later innings perhaps 6th inning hopefully...once the righty comes on...our line up explodes

So you're saying they DON'T have to win game one in order to go to Omaha?

The announcer in the UCLA game last night said since the tournament has gone to the regional/super regional format whichever team wins game 1 of the super regional has advanced to Omaha 79% of the time.

They showed the figure last night as 89% game 1 winners advance.
We have 3 different figures posted.
Have to love the media.

1.317 WHIP
112 K’s in 81.2 innings
2.52 ERA last season (5-1) in 107 innings with 128 K’s.

Dude has ace stuff. Don’t let that ERA fool you into thinking he’s not a good pitcher.

If anything, his ERA is an anomaly looking at all other relevant stats.

He’s a lefty and we’ll probably see his best tonight.

Fla State left hander just threw 8 pitches for three outs. This one’s gonna be a nail biter.
