When Sankey said on the stand that he had not even heard about the 5-for-5 rule, he was clearly either lying or else he was exposing his own incompetence.

It's time for Sankey to go.

Here's the Math on how/what/why this Insanity occurred & continues(long, but relevant analysis):

the SEC Corporate Office is in Birmingham, Alabama. Sankey et al (officers, staff, referees, etc) live, work, play, belong to country clubs, kid's attend schools & their families attend church there!

The math problem gets seriously complicated, affected by......

Remember the feeling when LSU lost Saban!?! It was BAD!! Now imagine Bama Loosing Saban!?! Ole Miss loosing Kiffin!?! THE PAIN IS REAL! Mutual Compassion, Understanding, Empathy naturally occurred between the two Grieving parties (schools).

added to this problem is the inherent Human Psychology involved.....

It was likely unconscious at first, but Bama/Sankey et al PROJECTED (psychology 101) their Anger, Doubt, Fear, Loss onto Kiffin & LSU! Mental Projection (blaming others) is Very Real and it is (actually) Acted Out! What was initially "instinctual, unconscious projection" onto Kiffin/LSU has now perhaps evolved into "conscious & intentional" via Sankey!

Inherent in all Mankind is/are the feelings of Pride, Grief, Loss, Abandonment. These emotions, feelings, pain are inescapable. They are DEEP. And they occurred and still exist amongst Alabama, Ole Miss Fans! Impossible for it to NOT occur after such a powerful, deep Loss of their #1 Coaches and Fear for their team/program's futures. Death/Loss, Grief, Fear, Pride are the MOST powerful, gut level deep pain, emotions humans encounter, experience! And it was the "Death" (diminishment) of their Football Teams, and their success/limelight, which for many fans in the SEC "IS" their "Life". It is their #1 - most important aspect/element/source of their pride, joy, happiness, self-esteem, confidence.

And to further confound the problem and resulting insanity.....

It has been and is now abundantly obvious that for decades it's been the NCAA & SEC's own ambiguous, piss poor, negligent - governance, management, rules, power/ego themselves that have been/are at the root of the Problem! The commissioners/leaders had a Golden Goose & Gobs of $$$. And they became drunk, jaded with Power! They were often very unfair, inconsistent. It's glaringly obvious that they did not do their jobs. Were asleep @ the wheel; allowed the problems to occur, fester with Recruitment, NIL, Portal Issues, etc.

Kiffin had no choice, due to the scheduling/timing rules and other issues in place, to depart/leave when he did. And it tore him apart. He was vocal about it. He did'nt "blame" the SEC, but explained the predicament & situation he was forced to navigate due to the existing constraints foisted upon him and others. Kiffin thereby EXPOSED the NCAA & SEC Leadership, Power and Authority.

I believe Alabama & Ole Miss loosing their coaches and loss of dominance/limelight, fear over the future, is the cause/reason for Sankey continuing to double down on his insanity. PRIDE is one of the 7 Deadly Sins! "Pride Goeth Before the Fall"! Sankey's Pride, Power, Anger, Fear has been on display and it has already caused his demise (just a matter of time before he's gone or dead). He may bring the SEC down with him, which has already lost tremendous respect and is losing more daily.

And thus we are witnessing this colossal insanity/mess. It's like an algebraic mental expression/equation. I do not know the answer. But I know how/why/where the problem (grief, pride, pain, loss) began and still festers.

And to further prove my theory of the "human psychology" involved here.....we see it play out "like clockwork" again this morning with the amended federal lawsuit out of Birmingham! Yes....right after LSU & Kiffin immediately "flipped the script" and further exposed the SEC + Sankey et al by their utter domination of Clemson; along with practically the entire sports media propelling LSU & Kiffin as fabulously good after their performance/proof last Saturday night on national tv (Game Day limelight, Tiger Stadium, Fans, Atmosphere being on display also greatly adds to Sankey's butthurt)!

So, like clockwork - Sankey's now increased hurt pride betrays/exposes himself by consciously/unconsciously "reacting" (projecting) by doubling down with the amended federal law suit & threat to EXPEL Kiffin/LSU. This is further proof, example of what I believe is the motivating factor, reason for all the "mental" Insanity we are seeing, experiencing. It will take awhile for social media, mass public to catch up to the truth, reality. The MSM, however, is emboldened (paid directly/indirectly) by the NCAA & SEC.....so they will continue to dance to the tune, but they too will eventually see/admit the truth after Sankey has fully self destructed.

Oh, if he made a joke at halftime, then he has to go.

The SEC cannot have coaches making jokes at halftime, not jokes that are unpleasant to the Czar LOL

Louisiana judge ruling prevents SEC from sanctioning LSU so they are taking this to federal court to get authority to sack LSU.

Exactly. The basis of the SEC's argument is that they should have the authority of govern it's own members. Now they are admitting that they don't have this power?

These clowns have no idea the shite storm they would kick up if they did. The entirety of the State apparatus would be against them and the Speaker of the House and House Majority Leader are LSU grads. If Greg Saggyballs couldn't hawk it on the stand in a fricking BR court room something tells me he wouldn't last 5 minutes with Washington breathing down his neck.

Not to mention if Trump decides this is a culture war battle he'd like to pick and has the Justice Department poking around the SEC.

Alll they have to do is hold a vote. Sankey doesn't have the votes I suspect.

Why would you go after that just to win.

You may be new to all of this, so let me explain it to you.

The #1 goal of all college football programs is to win. Therefore, it behooves them to hire the best coaches available in order to make that happen.

Understand it a little bit better now?

This is an interesting take

Ross is telling you the root cause issue here if you read between the lines.

A) The SEC is basically acknowledging that the Protect College Sports Act has little to no chance of passing.

Therefore,

B) The SEC is trying to insert control in a potential self governance model moving forward because the NCAA is powerless unless it gets protection from the PCSA.

But really,

C) This is the last ditch effort to protect the cash cow. The only way the SEC can continue to enrich themselves is by refusing to acknowledge the players as professionals which avoids collective bargaining.

Lastly,

D) Lane Kiffin and LSU are throwing a wrench into the already broken machine because he doesn’t care about the unjust enrichment the NCAA, SEC, and schools are profiting. Lane only cares about winning football games and because of that the SEC knows he is on the verge of toppling the already vulnerable system.

That is real reason the SEC is throwing everything at LSU hoping something will stick. The whole business is about to collapse and they know it.

Johnson and LSU Baseball are already the king of college baseball.

Kiffin is looking like he is about to turn LSU Football into the king of college football.

Wade has already shown he can turn LSU into a legit basketball program. He hasn’t even got a chance to get started.

Sankey and the SEC are scared of LSU’s athletic dominance.

I think bringing in Liz into the suit was a mistake on the SEC's part.

If we get kicked out of the SEC, chicken better do the right thing and shut down SECRant. Let them all go back to Hogballs.net or whatever message boards they were using before

Any insight or rumors about any replacement Louisiana based team? I can see back room talks with Tulane since the Green Wave was once in the SEC.

But LSU continues to imply that they may roster them in the future. So it is mostly about forcing LSU to comply and to clarify their ability to enforce their rules. At least I think that is the case.
