Milazzo said “he walked him, but he didn’t give in” - like it was a successful outing. I assume by “giving in”, he meant throw it over the plate. If this is the attitude, it needs to be changed. That's an ego problem..."well I walked him but I didn't give him anything to hit either" and that's bullshite. Same result.
Or maybe….. he was just trying to tell a story without sounding like he was throwing his teammate under the bus

I think won’t is the correct answer. Which makes the situation even more frustrating.
Thank you. An SEC pitcher should have the ability to throw a pitch down the middle with some decent velocity, anytime he wants to. If he can't he doesn't need to be playing for LSU. But they don't want to give the batter anything to hit. It's 3-0 count, you need a strike. You might even get a weak grounder to SS for the out too. It's better than a walk.

Wes Johnson is calling a major league game with less than rookie league pitchers (other than Skenes).
He needs to learn to coach and call a college game.
It’s something I’ve been slightly worried about. Can he downshift his game? He’s not facing major league hitting either.

If they figure it out, nobody is beating this team. Even with the depleted pitching staff. THROW STRIKES
What’s even worse is that Floyd and Little rarely get in trouble because the other team is stringing hits together. It’s almost always walks that get them in trouble. If they are around the zone they are really hard to barrel up but free passes just kill them.

I’ve felt this this season. Some of the called pitch locations are impossible for pitchers like Little. He had no feel yesterday yet is required to execute difficult placements. There was one sequence when he missed off the plate 3 straight pitches low and away outside. Whatever that pitch was supposed to be, he couldn’t make it happen. Just a microcosm of their struggles.

Our D with silly mental mistakes and general bad play won’t increase much. Only way it does would be Morgan to 1B, Kling to RF and Pearson get hot and in LF.
Otherwise only change is Kling in RF so D impressive slightly.
Problem with scenario 1 is it hurts our production.
The walks you would think could be solved but Wes has refused to call better games and so far hasn’t changed when a pitch isn’t working.

Thanks for this, I was about to compile something like this today but you’ve got it all right here.

Yep, if Wes is calling a breaking ball on a 3-0 pitch against an 8 hole hitter, then he's not thinking.
