SEC home opener in Tiger Stadium

It’s a week after the tigers inevitably smoke ole miss on the road, expected top 10 aggies come in after smashing the tigers last season on that very field and their fans took over the stands.
Is this going to be a massive one similar to the Clemson game? I hope Lane understands that us as fans want to see a total beat down worse than aggy put on LSU last season. I’d say similar to 50-7.
Energy should be at the max for the SEC home opener right?!
Worth noting that Lane’s first game vs A&M As bama OC in 2014 the tide won 59-0. Oh how I’d like to see that again.

Would love to silence that fan base. Have some mouthy folks in my circle that need to get back to focusing on yell practice

Amen! They have had major bragging rights since 2022 and it’s time to restore order. Kelly allowed their program and fans to legitimately believe they’re above LSU in the SEC pecking order.
Completely unacceptable and I’m sure Kiffin is aware of how much this game means to our fans. Especially the ones with heavy Texas ties which is a lot.

Assuming we beat Ole Miss, absolutely. I’m not ready to say an Ole Miss beat down is inevitable. They didn’t look great for a lot of the game last night, but it was their 1st game with a brand new offensive staff playing a decent opponent on a neutral field. I expect them to be much better in 2 weeks. And it will be the most energy in Oxford ever.
We should be better too, but it will be our 1st road game in the most raucous environment we’ll probably play in all season. (Knoxville could be rowdy if Tenner is still in the playoff hunt). We’ll really get to see how good this team is by how they perform in Oxford. If we do win relatively handily—and I, too, think we will—then look the frick out.

I watched a couple of Carter Bryant’s breakdowns of our offense earlier. Clemson is very poorly coached on defense. Not to take away from what we did to them at all, but A&M will be much better coached on defense and offense than Clemson. 50-7 seems a bit unrealistic. But after what we saw Saturday, nothing would shock me.

I wouldn’t sleep on Auburn’s crowd. They’ll get up for Kiffin’s LSU coming to town.

Great point. I do think a lot of that will depend on their record at the time, though. Jordan Hare can be loud and nasty at night early even if they’re not great, but they won’t sustain it if we go up a couple scores if they already have a few losses on their record.

Based on how they looked against Baylor, they could realistically have 2 or 3 losses by the time we get to town.
It looks like ESPN/ABC already chose the game for an early kickoff, too, so there's a good chance Jordan-Hare won't be at its best.

OM's defense looked violent and fast last night.

I didnt appreciate A&M staying over an hour with their celebration after that game with LSU stadium people having to wait for them.
They try that crap again i would let them be locked in and a dark stadium.
That was classless, You want to do that in your stadium fine but not in an opposing stadium.

We drummed The Faggies 50-7 in 2019….Id be happy to see that again….even 40-7 would work!

Louisville put 38 on them last night. They will score plenty but will eventually have to stop somebody.
