How do other SEC schools deal with Heisman "winners" football numbers?

Some past winners and if anyone is wearing their Football numbers:

Danny Wuerffel - 1996 #7 - Currently being worn by player.

Tim Tebow - 2007 #15 - Currently being worn by player.

Mark Ingram Jr. 2009 #22 - 2009 - Currently being worn by player.

Cam Newton - 2010 #2 - 2010 - Not in circulation.

Johnny Manziel - 2012 #2 - Currently being worn by player.

Derrick Henry - 2015 #2 - Currently being worn by player.

Joe Burrow - 2019 #9 - Not in circulation.

Devonta Smith - 2020 #6 - Currently being worn by player.

Bryce Young - 2021 #9 - Currently being worn by player.

If LSU has "disrespected" Daniels by letting someone else wear #5....there is some serious DISRESPECT going on in the SEC.

I doubt any others would make a stink about it. Really surprised by Daniels here. He seemed like the most carefree guy.

I hope Pickett wins the Heisman wearing 5 and gives his blessing that the next guy can wear it.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and believing that this is all his mother. But again its a terrible look and a very petty and entitled one that will not age well for him.

Florida doesn’t retire numbers, Wuerffel & Tebow are in their “ring of honor” which started in 2006.

Alabama doesn’t retire numbers

So really you’re just looking at A&M and Auburn

Which is smart. I like that.

Florida State stopped retiring actual player numbers in 1997 and transitioned to retiring jerseys. I doubt Winston cares. He got his jersey officially retired, but not number. This is the way. This how LSU should be.

A&M only has one number retired, but not Manziel's. I doubt Manziel cares.

Now Hester and Flynn are acting like maybe Burrow wouldn't let 9 issued, so Kelly couldn't issue 5.

I never thought Burrow would care, but if he did, then I'm wrong yet again. I really cant believe these former players care this much.

If this is correct, and considering Bama and Florida don’t retire numbers, the only two who won both the Natty and Heisman with a school that allows retired numbers are the only two who actually have their numbers “retired” today.
