USCe was probably the one that would have been left out if they lost game 1. With them playing well, it will be very interesting to see if any get left out

Not eligible since finished under 500. Honestly i know they have #1 SOS but Florida should be out since only finishing one game over 500

The 13 win teams are LSU, USC, Bama, Florida, and Vandy. Bama and Florida lost, but both had good resumes. If someone gets out, I would think it's one of them. LSU, USC, and Vandy winning today would guarantee they're in.

Florida should be out, but they will argue series wins against lsu and & a&m, etc.

A 28-27 UF was one loss away from not even being eligible for postseason. If there’s some bid stealers they deserve to be left out

I bet UF gets left out. They dont deserve to be in the field. I think SEC guys 10 teams in.

Its just insane the SEC gets high RPI and qualified teams left out. As NCAA wants to limit SEC teams in Omaha.

Agreed. #1 SOS looks good in a vacuum. Not so much when you don’t win a lot of those tough games.

W/L record still matters.

Florida is in serious trouble if too many bid “steals” happen. I believe the tracker here indicates there are currently 3 tournaments at this time that could involve bid stealers.

That's not really their problem. They won series against A&M, Georgia and Miss State. The problem is they lost a bunch of midweek games and got swept by Missouri.

Ok. They lost to teams they shouldn’t have. So it still balances out.

The top 6 were locks going into Hoover...Tennessee, Arkansas, Kentucky, A&M, State, & Georgia.

3 teams are 2-0 in Hoover & are now virtual locks...LSU, South Carolina, & Vandy.

Bama lost but should still be considered highly likely to make it.

Ole Miss, Mizzou, & Auburn are done.

Florida is the only question mark.

I'm with you on this. I wish people would sometimes flush their ratings metrics and use a little common sense when evaluating teams. If all that matters is playing good teams, then why don't we just hand them the number 1 overall seed, since they have the #1 strength of schedule? Obviously that won't happen, so why should they be given a tournament berth with such an atrocious record?

I would not be shocked to see them get in, however, based on similar situations I've seen in the past. But if they don't get in, I don't want to hear the complaining from anyone about being "snubbed". They barely finished above .500, and when they came into this tournament knowing they were on shaky ground, they responded by going 1 and out. I wouldn't reward that if I were a committee member.
