a 2 or 3 loss season won't detract the critics, but they do have to understand the amount of personnel losses that the program has incurred.
One thing not taken into account is the amount of talent still waiting in the wings, and the amount of young talent that actually got good experience last season.
Pretty sure everyone knows that a consistent offense is the only thing holding LSU back from having Bama-like success in terms of titles...maybe with Cameron, the critics will be forced to change their tune. hopefully, anyway.

our #1 recruiting class in 2014 is just gonna drop us off that cliff with the quickness

Nobody.

Saban would never say something this stupid; it's someone who is worried about our recruiting and hoping to sway opinion so he can capture a couple of guys from La. I think I know who it is and he should be worried.

Seeing as LSU is currently building what will be considered one of the all-time great recruiting classes this year...
ETA: BTW, I'll put money down that it was Bielema.

If it's a head coach I'd guess Muschamp (I'm assuming it's someone we play regularly, and Saban wouldn't make that comment)..... But the comment was probably made by an assistant coach.

agreed.
ETA: It's actually nice to hate Rkansas with a fiery passion again after last season.

Most likely wishful thinking.

On second thought, it probably was an assistant coach at Vanderbilt. The tweeter hosts a Sirius/XM show based out of Nashville I believe.

Braden Gall has something stuck up his arse about LSU.
ETA: He probably made it up.

Spurrier?
History has shown that Spurrier has no problem speaking his mind very publicly. If Spurrier said this, it would have his name on it.
My money's on Belimia. None of the other coaches would go there, even Muschamp.

That's a James Franklin/Will Muschamp type of quote.
masquerading himself to sound like Franklin or Muschamp.
He was referring to "The Decline" as the time period from the moment he stepped onto Huizenga's jet to present.
He even purposely let us win a few and allowed a few close ones to lull the LSU fanbase into a false sense of security, but when it really mattered, he didn't even let us cross the 50.
Who do yall think coined the term "Two Loss Les" and then had one of his operatives join up here and put that term into the mass consciousness of the board.
The man knows what he's doing. Sly as a fox he is.

it's a completely uniformed opinion, but how does he define "decline". After winning the NC in 2007 we went 8-5, 9-4. After the Tenn game in 2010 it looked like LSU had slid to 2nd tier status and would be well behind Bama and Florida. And then we beat both, finished 11-2, spent most of the next season ranked #1 and only a couple of lucky breaks going Bama's way derailed the team. After 10 and 11, 10-3 losing to Clemson looks like a decline, but we are 1 FD away from knocking of Bama and played like complete crap and lost to Clemson by 1. We could lose 3 or if things go bad or some key injuries hit 4, 5 games this year. 2014 could be similar with a new QB, but 2015 and beyond looks more like 2010 and 2011. That's not what I'd call a decline.
