Softy is saying the game was with in reach and they failed to win it. They don't think much of us right now. All they want to say is the amount of mistakes they made.....what? Like we didn't play terrible.

It was within their reach. That is probably due to LSU playing like shite, but it's true nonetheless

Take away LSU's pick six, UW fumble near the goal line, and the missed fg. UW wins by at least 7 possibly 10.

they had a pick 6 , fumble going in for a touchdown, missed field goal..
That is where they are saying they had a chance

Couple breaks it could have been 45-16 and a good win.

Couple breaks the other way and we could have lost, it goes both ways.

Yeah, geez, too bad this is all stuff that makes up a football game, huh?

Let's make fumbles and interceptions illegal in football and UW wins...that's basically what you're saying.

Agreed. I do not know the exact numbers for penalties, but they did have some although deserved, untimely penalties called on them.

Posts like this are retarded. Take away Charles Scott's fumble and LSU has another TD. Take away some missed tackles and the game isn't close. BLAHBLAHBLAH

But you can't take away things that happened during the game. Take away all the third downs UW converted and they don't score. Your argument is shallow in its nature.

Take away LSU walking onto the field and UW wins easily

Can we take away their last touchdown when we were playing a soft prevent bullshite defense?

The bottom line though is that the game was close. Did I ever feel like UW actually had a real shot to win? No. Should they be proud of their play and look forward to a better season? Hell yes. Is it appropriate to fish for people to flame their radio show? Probably not, but this is the rant.

This is why Im so confused at those who say we'll be OK. If ppl dont think much of you, you're rankings suffer, no matter how many wins you have (see Kans, '07)

UW was NOT trying to win the game when they got the ball back after we scored in the 4th. They were merely trying to make the final score closer. If they were trying to win then they would have thrown deep or tried some kind of "trick" play to score quickly in order to give themselves a chance to win.

They were content with running underneath stuff and slowly working there way down the field to try to score at the end.

People who say oh w/o the pick 6 or w/o the fumble we would have won are living in fantasy land. Those things happened so that changes how coaches approach the rest of the game. WASHINGTON DID NOT TRY TO WIN THE GAME AT THE END OF REGULATION!!

If Cutrera doesn't make a great play on that stupid throw by Locker in the 1st quarter, we would have been down 14-3 and the whole game would have been different.
UW was very much in the game
