This is LSU. If you don't think baseball is held to a higher standard than basketball then you are clueless.

How do you know that?

Do you think Vitale and Forde would have mentioned it?
Hell they knew North Carolina and Duke were cheating and the media nor NCAA did anything.
Did Zion Williamson get a "Big arse Offer" from Kansas? Why did he go to Duke.

Whether the decision to fire Wade was correct or not, it was not made by Woodward alone, nor did he have the final decision. Not at LSU. Not with the group on the BOS.

Good luck trying to tell them brain dead retards this.

No, he hasn’t. Scott didn’t hire CMM knowing he would fail. Unfortunately he has, and I think will be fired in March. Then I expect Scott to do what he does-go big.

I doubt Scott is oblivious to the pressure to fix his mistake.

I expect MM to be back at LSU next year. He will get 3 years to get it right minimum.

I also think people think of LSU basketball like they do football and baseball. In football you can pull a coach from Notre Dame. In baseball you can go grab a coach who is in Omaha, coaching for a major conference. Football and baseball are top notch destinations. It's absolutely NOT the case for basketball. You almost have to give good money to who you believe is an up and comer. It was done with Wade, and it was the correct call. It was done with MM, and it doesn't appear to be the correct call. You aren't plucking some major coach, from a basketball power, to come coach basketball at LSU though.

The bigger question is if McMahon struggles mightily again in SEC play this year with he acknowledge the poor hire and make a change?

Oh, fat AD can find significant money to pay out McM but not a comparatively very small amount to pay House?? Makes sense.

That may prove true, but I expect him to try it with someone like Scott Drew, then go down the list.

I’d just like for Wade to win a championship of any kind- out right, and without missing 25% of the conference schedule due to suspension- at any school before he’s considered undeniably great. Maybe he can win the Southland this year, the worst hoops conference in America. Michigan is a good win, though. He really shouldn’t lose a game until March with their weak arse schedule.

If you need any further proof that Will Wade is a great coach, then you are blind. And you will just keep moving the goal post to what a good coach looks like, just like this...

fricked up about Will Wade.

Good AD but quitting and giving up to pressure is NOT leadership. The Wade situation was spineless, but yes he’s a good guy and solid AD.

I saw Scotty at a funeral last week. We got to talking about MM. Long story short. He's not going anywhere any time soon

Do we not care about the two titles under his coaching hires? A little baffled by the pure hate.

We do. But you need to ask Woodward about pure hate, seems like he had it for Wade.

I agree and anyone who has knowledge of the BOS members, their history and ideology would likely agree, unless your history and ideology is aligned with the BOS of course. Jeff Landry will hopefully institute changes there, down to and including Will Tate who is a poison.

Have you met Dale Brown? I bet you love the guy. Dale Brown left the program in shambles and on probation yet LSU named the court after him.
