“he’s 0-3. Credit for these 2”
fricking retard

Jimbo didn't sign that deal until after Scott had been at LSU a couple of years. so I don't think Woodward was involved much in those negotiations
WRONG.

More than nine months after he stepped off the plane in College Station and less than a week and a half before his first game, Jimbo Fisher has finally signed his contract as Texas A&M's head coach. It took significant legal wrangling to get the signatures of Texas A&M president Michael K. Young, Texas A&M athletics director Scott Woodward and one John J. Fisher, Jr., but they're all there now. As originally reported, the deal is 10 years at $75 million.
Jimbo Fisher would have no buyout if he leaves Texas A&M

They also extended him after Woody left

Has nothing to do with this discussion. This is about Woodward’s poor management and not a one-off problem.

scott got the coaches he wanted in baseball, football and WBB why not softball?
It is a logical and valid question to wonder why McMahon and to a lesser extent Beth are still coaching here.

McMahon, sure. That situation is fricked.
Torina? Is there a better target LSU could hire out there? Because you're gonna have to pay them.
400k is the generally acceptable base pay for someone in Torina's position in the industry, btw. You want the Oklahoma coach? Guess what we're going to have to pay.
And if that happens, you're gonna be bitching and whining about spending all this money on softball.

I’m sure there is, but you are right. You’ll have to pay them. Which is the point I was previously making. McMahon and Torina aren’t making more than what I would expect an lsu coach to make relative to their peers. Critique their results, but their salaries aren’t the thing to bitch about.

Not a whole lot he can do about Beth right now. Scott has gone on public record saying the minimum for coaches at LSU is the postseason, and Beth has done that at a steady rate. That isn’t even mentioning the buyout.
Really hard for an employer to give an employee goals that are met year after year and expect the AD to also fire them, especially when it’s softball. You have to think Scotty doesn’t want or care about LSU upgrading softball with what the output has been. As disappointing as it was, how do you justify firing a 10 seed coach (that has made the tournament 12/13 years in a row, every year she has been here) on the trail to potential candidates? Again, this is softball we’re talking about.
Beth will need a year or two of total collapse for it to happen. That being said, the rest of the SEC is taking it seriously it seems, and with more weight being placed on conference performance across all of collegiate sports, it may come sooner rather than later.

Woodward cannot find his balls, which essentially means he has no balls, so you’re right in that sense; BUT it really doesn’t matter. He currently is the Head Dick in Charge of LSU Athletics, so we’re kinda helpless UNLESS you have gazillions of dollars.
Posted on 5/18/25 at 4:46 am to FreeState
They’re there. But he’s just so fat he hasn’t seen his balls in probably 30 years

There’s extremely dumb shite, and then there’s this. Great job making extremely dumb shite look brilliant.

He should call the SELA coach today.

Yes it does because the number cited was the $76 million owed through 2031. That was Jimbo’s extension he signed in the summer of 2021, not the original deal. Woodward had nothing to do with that.
If you want to be critical that’s fine, but facts should matter.

Yeah, because Skenes got them into the finals. This is not softball , nerd. Not too mention a spectacular catch in Left Field to keep us from losing before the finals.
Wait…..so you’re saying that to win the national title Jay needed a team full of studs and a few spectacular plays?
Riveting stuff!!!
You do realize that this can pretty much be said about any team that won the CWS? Pretty much every NCAA champion had multiple future big leaguers and stud pitching. And every team had to make a handful of amazing and game saving plays to win it all. Thats the nature of baseball. It’s weird that you don’t understand that
The crowd that tries to discount Jay’s national title because he had Skenes and Crews is really weird

You need a hobby beyond your fixation on lsu sports.
There’s a big old world out there, my friend.

I'm saying the years he didn't have Skenes and Crews, he was below average. We shall see what he does this year.
So far, he's doing great, but if they have a bad weekend in the regional that they will host things can change quickly.
Orgeron won a National Championship also. Is he a great Coach?
