Scott Woodward destroyed two football programs. He turned LSU into Aggy under his tenure

I no longer put any blame on Coach O for the deterioration of the LSU football program.

Looking back: Orgeron resurrected an above average to good program and guided it on an upward trajectory from the time he took control in 2016 all the way through 2019 and built not only a National Championship team, but some would argue the greatest team ever assembled.

And then it completely collapsed.

Orgeron gets shite for what happened to the program after 2019, and rarely gets credit for the 2019 team.

But what changed from his first three years of a constantly improving program that he was in command of?

Scott Woodward was hired.

Orgeron didn't give up to chase tail, he realized that it wasn't his program anymore. Woodward took it over from him.

I wouldn't mind courting Orgeron to come back if Kiffin falls through. I think he could build a solid foundation again. Get some lunch pail players that aren't pussies back in Baton Rouge.

No. I wouldn’t mind Coach O as DL coach under Kiffin, but O is too dependent on having the absolute best coordinators on both sides of the ball for him to be successful. We saw what happened when Joe Brady and Aranda left.

Yes, once they washed the Scotty stink off of it, it rebounded nicely.

Unless they come take our titles away and turn everyone gay, we'll never be aggie.

That's a problem?

Saban did the same thing. He tried to get every great coach on his staff in one form or another.

The Saban Coaching Clinic was a real thing.

I'd rather hire the Southeastern coach than O, and I have no idea who he is. I'd absolutely bring O in as a D line/recruiting coordinator guy. Know your lane man. In business, in life, in football. That's what he's good at.

W.r.t. Ed's downfall, it is my understanding that the Pelini hire was Scott's doing, not Ed's. That in itself is dysfunctional if true. But be that as it may, wasn't it Ed's decision to force Bo to run the attacking 4-man front?

Bo informed him we didn't have the personnel to run that and wanted to stick with a 3-man front. Ed overruled and '20 became the poster child for bad D (until low-flyin' Brian dislodged it). But that was on Ed, not Scott, and was a major contributor to the downfall.

Not to mention the locker room defiling by Ryan Clark and JaCoby Stevens. Was Scott back of that?

You don't blame O for ushering in the worst lsu situation/roster since dinardo?
We literally had a losing season under O. As bad as this season is, we have a chance at 8 wins and we have already secured a better final record than either of O's last 2 seasons.

Who doesn't give O credit for 2019?

Woodward did a bad job with the contract and hiring of Kelly but I’m loving the hiring of JJ and success to our baseball program.

The O sycophants that still litter this board should read this statement over and over again until it really sinks in.

There is enough blame to go around on this colossal failure of a program. It has literally been a perfect storm of bad decisions by all the wrong people.

LSU owns both the Best Football Team Ever and Worst Weirdest Football Team Ever. This isn't natural y'all. There is something going on with this team that we aren't seeing, that we don't know. Yeah, Kelly and Woodward and Landry, I get it, but something is going on in the locker room. It falls on Kelly tho every bit of it. This was his team to rally, this was his chemistry experiment that failed to create chemistry. I mean why is BKs son still on the team? And what was those antics? Why didnt Thomas squash that from happening. It was embarrassing just more embarrassment for the program

Let's HOPE so. Right now things aren't looking like we're even going to be as good as a typical Aggie unless we can beat Okie this coming weekend to make it to 8-4.
