Sure I'd probably agree, but I don't understand the disdain and animosity so many fans have towards Simmons. This article just isn't even necessary.
Just thank the guy for being here and move on. My God at this rate he won't even claim LSU
Look at how big of an asset Shaq has beeen to LSU, and for some reason LSU fans can't help but shite on him instead of seeing the big picture

I think Johnny Jones had a much more negative effect than Ben Simmons. Blaming it on Ben is ignorant and lazy.

Considering this team didn't have a rim protector he isn't completely wrong. I think Simmons and Mickey on this team would have been in the tourney.

We made the tourney last year because we had BOTH Martin and Mickey and TQ actually cared and played hard on both ends of the floor. And Hornsby was healthy. Martin and Mickey were also 2nd year players and returning starters and TQ had a lot of minutes and experience under his belt as well. Experience matters in college basketball. Look at the teams that did well / still doing well in the NCAA Tourney.
Trading Simmons for 1 or the other would not have gotten us to the tourney and we most likely would have been even worse. Think about how bad our offense would have been this year with Mickey in place of Simmons...
