Remember '01 Miami? Remember Larry Coker? Where is he now?

What an ignorant and intellectually dishonest comparison.

Larry Coker inherited what many people believe is the best team in college football history, won a national title in his first year and then ran the program in the ground.

Orgeron took over a team in turmoil and built a national championship program. There is no comparison.

And as usual you’re 100% wrong. Like most of us I’m a Cowboys fan and I’ve watched him in agony for years. I also watched him in Minnesota in Detroit and in St. Louis. He’s not good I’m sorry but Orgeron hiring him doesn’t change that.

Fair enough but since I’ve not seen any candidate mentioned without the usual suspects bitching and complaining, I’m not gonna put too much into those opinions bc it seems like there’s no pleasing some posters

These people don't get it. If you live within 100 miles of Dallas you understand how much of a dud this hire is. It could play out well depending on his role, but it's no boom.

I can promise you that 99% of the people trashing this hire no next to nothing about this man...including you! It's just a lazy take to say that he's a bum because he's not a sexy "name". That's all this is about!

Anyone that watches the nfl knows who Scott Linehan is lol

Welcome to the 1% brudda! So is this guy a bad hire to be a PGC in college football with elite athletes to coach up?

Most complacent fan on this board and the biggest O dick sucker.

How pathetic and hypocritical when you start threads chiming in why posters can’t question Will Wade but you defend O to the death every step of the way.

Only problem with your awesome post. Linehan was fired from Dallas Jan/19. Kellen was the OC this year. Ouch, posted all that and you were way off.

He somehow manages to stay with a team for 3 years and then gets fired. So exciting

Nobody bashed Brady, in fact 80% or better were encouraged because he came from Sean Peyton. So again more false narratives from the “since Orgeron hires him he’s become good” crowd.

Yeah it is a odd hire.
I thought that he would go with joe blaymeyerfrom Kansas city.
Linehan was doing rpo stuff with dak in Dallas.
I actually think e and linehan will be alright because of the baseline they already have from Brady.

Linehan has been around a long time. Don't love it but its not that bad

Didn't see that coming but what do I know.

I'm gonna trust Coach O knows what he's doing.

Linehan is literally the only individual that would have me reacting like this. Anyone else and I’m trusting O.

It’s honestly mind blowing that this happened.

Literally nothing has been done by linehan at LSU and you’re already melting down and calling him a liar.

How can a person always not only be wrong but be on the opposite end of the correct spectrum? Asking for a friend.

He's not the O-Coordinator. Here to execute the passing game for an already installed system.

I'm sure a former NFL Head coach is more than qualified to keep this going.

And help with red zone and 3rd down offense. Brady kept installing new things for that part of the offense all year.

Brady would watch film and install new things each week he saw being used in the NFL that worked. That beautiful pass play to end the 1st half against Bama to CEH for example. Installed that Thursday.

I hope this guy has that kind of mindset and isn't trying to come in here calling generic bullshite that Saban can defend in his sleep. Really wish we had gotten someone with experience under Sean Payton again.

I'll give Orgeron the benefit of the doubt, it just doesn't appear to be a very sexy hire. Can this guy recruit either? He certainly hasn't done it in a while? Just not seeing a big upside. Low ceiling, low floor hire.

But, we could all be wrong. Let's hope for that.
