I'm with Gaston.
I heard Spurrier answer questions from reporters when he was at Florida, and he made all the same points that Gaston makes.
The M in MNP stands for "Mythical" look it up.
But there is a championship that we play for and it's won and lost on the field of play. And at the moment, it's the pinnacle of success in college football.
That's the SEC championship, not the thing at the end of the year where ESPN gets to decide the contestants.
There is no reasonable college football fan that can argue that the SEC champion is not the best team in college football, unless the SEC champ is given the chance to prove it, and fails. Until that happens, it's a moot point.
If they leave the SEC champ out of the equation, it's their loss. That team is still a champion and will always be arguably the best team in college football that year.
LSU coaches, team, and fans should always focus on the goal first. If that goal is achieved, anything else is gravy.

Well, it didn't seem like I am not entitled to my opinion here. I posted it on the More Sports board, but as soon as it was moved here I got called a douche 50 times. Wuss too now, nice. I stand by my opinion, and its requoted many times here. The thread is horrible due to the name calling, not the topic. If you have something to add, do it. You wanna call me more names, have at it. Sounds like thats the MO of this board. I changed to topic to have it wacked, that was a failure too.
