There’s a good chance that you get a guy in for 1 year then he either graduates or forgoes his Sr season. If that happens, it doesn’t effect Walker Howard at all.

Walker might not limit his options to a good school if he can develop into a great NFL prospect. Imagine if we took a young transfer QB and Howard went somewhere like UCF, SMU, Ole Miss, etc.

So other schools can run out 5 star qbs as freshmen but LSU can't? Of course you want a more veteran qb but 4-8 is ridiculous.

Exactly. Max didn’t get us anywhere near 4-8.
It’s a stupid take. With Howard as a freshman LSU would have a better chance at 15-0 than 4-8.
ETA not claiming we’d have a shot at 15-0, but 4-8 is even more stupid than that.
Walker is 10x the QB Max is today.

I seriously doubt he would come here to play backup, but I wish we could bring in Charlie Brewer from Utah. He wants to be closer to Texas. He only has one year left after leading Baylor to a great season a couple years ago before Rhule left. Then went to Utah and got benched. A veteran player like that could provide competition for Nuss, and experience in the backup role if needed. Like I said though, no way is he transferring to be a backup.
