10. for a few reasons

1) despite roster, it can really only get better from last year

2) roster is extremely experienced and talented

3) new coaching hires are exciting to me. im hearing players are loving them. it just suggests to me positive things are coming.

4) looking at schedule, a 10 win season seems realistic. i wouldn't rule out 11 or 9.

5) at least for a portion of the season, im hoping for something more resembling normal in terms of covid

I’m very optimistic. Entire experienced oline returning, young guys got a lot of playing time and experience last season and a new (hopefully) improved defensive scheme. No excuses this year

8.

Will come down to Bama (of course).

With so many teams losing key players/changing coaches, everything else on the schedule is very winnable.

The play vs Florida was the real Tigers.
OL will be better
Quarterback solid
Defense will be much better.

I’m gonna say 8. Without the normal fan/campus environment, it’s just hard to be full bore about college athletics for me. That’s part of what makes it so great, especially college football.

Team wise, returning starters matter tremendously in college football, especially O-Line and Defensive Front 7. Were pretty solid there. I think the LB play will tell the tale of the season. There is no possible way or secondary can be as dog shite as it was all over again. Even if it’s halfway as good as we’re used to, LB play will dictate what teams are able to do against us.

Until the defense has shown a return to form, I think double digit wins is a bit aggressive with a still young QB group and relatively unproven MB if he’s back. I’d say 9-3 with a surprise loss I’m there.

I feel more optimistic than I did last season.

Probably around a 7 or 8.

We have a TON of guys returning and while I wasn't overly excited about the DC hire, he does seem to be doing what should be done and he's doing it quickly. That speaks volumes to me.

I agree with you FLBoo, the recruiting class shouldn't be overlooked either.
