3,500 yards and 28 tds, does he declare for draft next year? Hypothetical off course

Please see Zach Mettenberger. He was in the system one year already when he started in 2012. He struggled early in the season and it was not until the latter half of 2012 and 2013 that he found his groove.

Expecting such numbers from Burrows is wishful thinking, especially when he has just got to LSU a few months before starting.

The shotgun heavy offense we're using should fit Burrow well.

Really? Guice claims CEH is his “mini me”....meaning he’s a beast. Currey was the #8 RB last cycle while playing hurt all year.....Let’s not forget Nick Brossette is a Louisiana Legend holding the HS TD record.....he waited his turn, he ain’t no scrub.

The players certainly aren't horrible. The lack of returning production is a concern though.

You haven't heard? He made it to fit Burrow before he even knew Burrow was transferring. He's a freaking genius! Going to be exciting.

Something really important to keep in mind. Joe Burrow has already finished his undergraduate studies which means he can focus on football full time! Remember Mettenburger as a 5th year Senior and no classes? Burrow has that type of free time right now for 2 years at LSU!

Burrow is about to be a damn rock star in BR.

It’s going to be ridiculous.

His name is not Burreaux. So dumb to spell it that way.

I really do appreciate your optimism but I can tell you now that you will be very disappointed if this is your true expectation level for these backs. They will be serviceable I would imagine as long as we don’t have to win with the running game but we shouldn’t be expecting guice or Leonard nor should we need that to win a championship.

After not playing for years?
It's not as if he's been sitting on his arse for years. He's been practicing against Ohio State players and developed by real coaches. Your implication is dumb.

I sure hope he doesn't declare. Would love to have that back at LSU the following year.

Will Ed O's offense allow for those numbers?
