This is my biggest fear at the moment.

I'm 100% okay with him as the interim coach. I'm 100% not okay with us settling for him as the HC.

If dude goes, say 7-1 with a win over Bama...hell yeah he deserves consideration. If it doesn't put them in Atlanta, they are at least second in the west and in a good bowl game.

Not saying he will get it, but he would at least deserve consideration.

I would give him a interview but the new coach needs to have a offensive background. Coach O is defensive line guy only. If he doesn't get it I hope we can still keep him on staff and pay him a lot more money.

Stop with this. O has gone through this before. I'd be surprised if he and Alleva haven't talked about this very thing and his chances for being named HC. O knows he most likely won't be HC.

I do hope he is retained on the staff. I love Coach O.

I think Coach O knows his limitations. I think he is pretty happy where he is. He's not really a HC kind of guy and I think he is aware of it.

If he does well he will get consideration no doubt about it. Start preparing yourself now

The only way to make this season worth anything is to beat Bama. We can go to the Independence Bowl for all I care as long as Bama goes down.

Why? Saban doesn't have an offensive mindset. Urban Meyer was a defensive guy.

Maybe you just get a guy that will bring in a good offensive coordinator...AND LET HIM DO HIS JOB!!

You need to get the best candidate for the job. That means a guy that will actually trust his coaches to do their job. Maybe he's an offensive guy, maybe he's defensive. Doesn't matter. Needs to be the best guy though.

Everyone saying they hope we win out from here be careful what you wish for.

Coach O might actually get the gig if that happens.

This mentality is what will get LSU left behind. LSU needs to get the best available coach period.

Les Miles was an offensive guy, look what it got us the last 4 years.

Would you take a Coach O HC and a Lane Kiffin OC?

If he could pull that off (running the table) then he deserves the job.

What is so wrong with that? What if he is the best guy for the job?

If he goes 7-1 or 8-0, he deserves serious consideration. Is that likely? No. It would be absolutely incredible if he did it. But that's why he would deserve serious consideration.

While I don't want Orgeron to be the head coach of the future, I hope he kicks arse and we win the West.

If that means he ends up getting consideration for the job, I'm perfectly fine with that.

frick no, LSU already has the talent to win, the team was being poorly coached.
