What? Most of LSU's national championships have come in the past 20 years. Before that, there was a 50 year gap. LSU's football program once was complete arse, is that what you're talking about?

It's so lame that they had to actually keep that stat, when everyone knows DV is louder. We never saw the need to have put sound meters in DV, It is so loud that a player once said, "It made my eyeballs shake!" Bear Bryant said it was "Like playing a football game inside of a drum!" TBF most stadiums get loud when the home team is winning. Hell, Vol fans were loud af with their Rocky Top bs when they kicked LSU's arse in their own stadium in 2022.

In the last 6 seasons LSU football averages less than 8 wins a year. The football program has become mediocre.

LSU is far from being the only program to have a stretch of bad seasons. This isn't exactly an LSU specific problem, it's the reality of college football.

There are lots of ways to make a stadium loud. Ole Miss is loud, but not because of the crowd. I went to the Texas/Ohio State game in DKR and it was crazy loud, but a lot had to do with the crowd noise combined with the loud music blasting over the PA system. If you do what Ole Miss and Texas do, which is to blast loud music until the center snaps the ball (which is actually against SEC rules), it's gonna seem a lot louder than just the fans screaming alone.

I've been to Neyland, and when both schools are at full throttle for a great team on the field, Neyland can't hold Tiger Stadium's jock strap.
