Sam is whats good about college football. IMO one of Les best OOS recruiting jobs. We need him to a be a beast this year and I don't think he disappoints.

I totally agree. Surprise signee, and he hasn't disappointed. I think he will be an absolute monster this year.

Weren't you in Dallas too? In. fricking. Tense.

Yep, I was there. I had awesome seats, down near the LSU endzone and I saw him pounding the ground. That was awesome! I told the guy next to me, "Did you just see Montgomery hit the ground?"

That was killer.

I was behind the endzone but still caught it. Was pretty low. I was pretty drunk and started yellin' when I saw it.

My dad had seats just above the band. I met up with him afterwards and asked him about it. He said he missed it and I said, "We have to watch the replay. Thomas was changing the play and Sam starts pounding the turf. It was classic!"

Once my dad saw it on the tv, he was like,"That guy is the real deal. Glad we got him."

every tiger fan still remembers when he signed with us last minute. No one was expecting that. That is why I love signing day

"I want to push myself to get 20 sacks before the season is over with,” said Montgomery. “I want to be in the running for Heisman. I want to get the best defensive end award, SEC Defensive Lineman of the Year, First-Team All-SEC, All-American. I want to leave on top.”
One thing about Sam, unlike other people involved in athletics, is that his expectations are something he fervently believes will be attained. Everyone says they want to win the National Championship or the Heisman, even if they know in the deep dark recesses of their mind they know they realistically cannot. Big Sam is passionate about everything he does and doesn't say things just to see if it sticks to the wall. And on top of it, he is ardent about making the players around him better. He is so refreshing to watch.

Long live Sonic Sam and

I need to see video of that interview. Sam gives the best interviews with his thoughtful pauses and gestures.

In the pros do you think he will play DE, OLB, or ILB?

Depends on the system. If he goes to a team that runs a 4-3 I think he will be a DE. But if he goes to a team that runs the 3-4, he will be an OLB/DE hybrid like a DeMarcus Ware. He will be good at both but the 3-4 OLB spot is made for him.

His weight last year was 245, so next year 250. He would be a great ILB at about 255 lbs. I really like his improvement each year. Logan and he will be monsters next season, can't wait!
