So I guess that means that Saban lost to BOTH Lee and Jefferson in consecutive years since both played.

It's also incorrect. Rex Grossman in 2000 and 2001 beat the hell out of us. Best game of his career was in Baton Rouge in 01
Did Grossman start both games? I know in 2000 Spurrier was rotating QBs a lot, but I wasn't sure if Palmer might have started that game.

Kind of a dumb stat since QBs are only starters for a year or two in college for the most part.

And I don't say this to shine light on Lee over Jefferson, b/c Jefferson gave us a better chance to win both years, given our head coach and his limitations
Not to mention that Lee was a head case in most of his games vs Bama. Perilloux's screw-ups broke both of our potentially good, maybe even great, QBs. Both guys had stellar HS careers and both had decent college careers despite what rantards may say about either. Getting thrown to the wolves and the way they had to adapt early created flaws in both, IMO.

From Rex's wiki:
quote:
Grossman started his first game as a Florida Gator on October 7, 2000, against LSU.

He accounted for 110 yards of offense. 67 in the air and 43 on the ground. He didn't beat shite.
You are right that defense won the game, but you are wrong that JJ didn't do much. The reason Michael Ford looked good is that JJ ran the option and got the ball to Ford in a position that made success easy.

So according to the same standards, Tua never won a natty

Good thing JD isnt the same qb this year as last.
Nor is Saban the same coach he used to be.

Anything to make Saban the GOAT, which he's not. At least not anymore...

Lol, he’s still the GOAT
Posted on 10/31/23 at 12:48 pm to Fun Bunch
Saban isn't on the field.
