I get that, but the path of the throw took him there and forced Curiel way wide…you gotta take that into account. I get the rules today don’t, but we have been screwed over in those same exact situations.
It was a force out, contact was going to be made in that situation 100%, Catcher dropped the damn ball, he is safe. Curiel was trying to get his hands to the plate…bad ruling either interpreted or by the rule itself.

I love Cowan as the day 3 starter. See our power arms all weekend long and then give the batters a little more finesse with Cowan. I know it won't always be this good, but it's a nice little change. And you know he's going to give you everything he's got. Just like how he went up to Jay a few games ago saying he was going to warm up in the pen after pitching just a couple of days prior.
