I feel like its obvious. He is insinuating that because Tate is black, that he eagerly sought out black men for head coach ahead of white men. And we have seen nothing from Tate showing that he is racist

Can we go back in time yet and retroactively take his time at LSU back from history.

Ryan Clark is a racist. Plan and simple.

What’s best for the players is winning, becoming a better person and player, and graduating. Give us the coach who can do that regardless of color.

Deion sanders is probably the most “relatable” coach right now and he up and left at the drop of a hat after talking so passionately about how he wanted to save HBCUs. Being a young and black coach isn’t guaranteed to help these kids.

it's always about race with that critic.

he really doesn't know sports.

Just imagine if any professional commentator said we need a white coach.

They would be drawn and quartered.

When will the same standard be used for black people? 200 years after slavery? 500 years after slavery? How long after slavery can black people be racist again?

ETA: thread got anchored
This place is becoming like Twitter pre Elon. Someone can trash our coach because of the color of his skin and we have to keep our mouth shut.

I’m glad we got Kelly, but I would have enjoyed getting Deion Sanders.
The negative thing about Kelly is you have no chance at a one-coach dynasty like Georgia is staring at.

you always find a way to shite on this board.

your breathe must smell like dog shite

RC Goes Really Hard on Saban, basically call him a POS. Thinks its pretty spot on how Little Nick treats people in general from hearing the stories when he tried the NFL.

At 29 min 15 sec mark.

can't watch espn because of the hate and PC BS they promote.

espn is anti-American, anti-Christian and have become a political tool of mainstream media.

I don't because all of them are talent less , I wouldn't waste my time listening to these BS artists. Clark could give a damn about LSU , He uses us as a tool to spew his race pimp crap.

frick Ryan Clark’s racist arse. He’s a grade A piece of shite that openly wants to tell people on camera that he hates white people but then his checks would stop coming because they would have to fire him. Then again who knows they may give him an award instead since it seems racism can only go one way to the media. The further this guy is from what Kelly is building the better. We have young, black coaches on staff that can relate to players. Steeples, Cain, Hankton, Davis, Cooks and Frank Wilson. What more could you ask for Ryan? He won’t be happy until there are no white coaches on the staff. I could care less what your skin color is as long as we win. Kelly has restored order and accountability to this program and it has already shown itself in year one with a 10 win season.

I wonder how many people actually listened to the clip, because he says some things about the program and last few coaches (facts) and then offers his feelings about what he wanted in the newest hire (opinion).

All that said, he is free to his opinion. But he could at least point out that Kelly had 6 paid assistants that are younger black men and numerous others around the program in support roles.

I guess it was during the BLM stuff that RC really flipped the switch. I don’t recall him being that bad previously. It seems like he went full Karen almost overnight. Maybe I’m misremembering though.

In this same clip he still acknowledged that Kelly wasn’t hired to relate and be good to the players, but to compete for championships.

This is such a dumb take, as if you can do one without the other. Nobody wins a title without developing relationships with their players.

Agreed, can't watch the ESPN opinion shows any more and I used to like those. And now the culture they have created has bled into Sports Center and they always bring the folks from the opinion shows in for comment as cross-promotion.

And even when they go to straight event driven broadcasting the crawler along the bottom drops socio-political nuggets so that you are never not subjected to them.

There are literally hundreds of options in today's social media for content like this that folks can go to if this is what they crave. Yet they force it on forums people used to go to in order to get away from that type of content.

And it is now justified as truth being revealed and not addressing it would be "hiding under a rock".

This is really frustrating. At some point you have to just be ok with this being enough.

it's a little different when it's one of your own

This is where you people are getting it confused. Ryan Clark is no longer one of our own. He’s on his own and apparently he’s perfectly ok with isolating himself from Louisiana, Louisiana sports, LSU and anything to do with LSU. I would never mention the guys name again. Let this guy corner himself as the crazy black race baiter that he now has obviously taking the mantle of to die on. That is his path now, so let him lay his own path but without LSU.

I give no shits about this guy and I haven’t since his little stunt 3 years ago. Coach O was blind sided and what could he have done? This guy undermined him and really started the separation of the entire football team and he ruined Derrick Stingley’s CFB career and maybe more. He negatively impacted more young guys lives than he’s positively impacted and he’s just pissed that he gave football everything and feels like he didn’t get what he deserved back from it or wouldn’t have had it not been for ESPN giving him a platform, which is the platform he’s now walking and talking so let him have it. But he’s turned his back on LSU and Louisiana a long time ago!

That’s fine with me. You don’t hear this nonsense out of any other big time ESPN / LSU connection, like Shaq or the big man Spears. They love LSU and Louisiana too much and frankly I think they stay out of it because they know it’s just complete bullshite. I’m certain Ryan Clark is also smart enough to know it’s all bullshite but that’s his platform on ESPN and he will likely move up in the ranks because of this topic so let him go his route. But if I’m the coach at LSU and I’m talking to one of the parents of one of my kids, I’m getting way ahead of this shite and making damn sure we have a greater understanding of who Ryan Clark really is.
