Physical talents - sure I could say they aren't generational talents that are freakish in their arm strength or running ability.
Sure AR-15 has more arm/running talent, Jamarcus had more arm talent, Elway had more arm talent.

Many with these crazy arms and super speedy don't put in the study time and don't have the quick decision skills in their noggin.
So Brees, Brady, Peyton etc may not have the best physical talents but they had brain talent because they worked on decision making skills constantly.

Physical giftedness and Talent are two very different things.

Some guys have generational physical giftedness but don't have it between the ears...Jamarcus Russell, etc.

Some guys have generational talent (complete understanding of the game, confidence, high performance under pressure, great leadership, intangibles)...Brady, Brees, P. Manning

Very few have both...Mahomes

I was specifically responding to a guy’s post in which he quotes Ryan Clark talking about Arch Manning.

The worst thing that happened to this site is the twitter embed where people no longer have to post their thoughts and instead post some rage bait dumbass twitter account that can't comprehend what he's listening to.

Yup. It's an even worse evolution of the already bad tendency of people to post an article headline as a thread title and then cry "I just posted the headline!" when people pillory them for posting bullshite.

They’re all white so if anyone disagrees with him, they are OBVIOUSLY racist.

It’s what he does.
i didn't know that John Elway and Andrew Luck were black.

I mean it is stupid to claim that Arch Manning in any way shape or form is a generational talent. He's not even a generational prospect.

He has a solid not great arm and has proven absolutely nothing at any level against meaningful competition. Class 2A with Newman is a joke and he got destroyed anytime they played a team with a pulse.

The problem is that he is only getting any of this chatter because of his name and family. It is as bad if not worse than Shadeur Sanders' hype and that is saying something.

Peyton was hyped after he proved himself. Sure he was a 5 star talent, but nobody was calling him a generational quarterback before he started 3 games.

I'd argue he was wrong about Brees as well. He was superb in HS and College. Brees averaged almost 20 YPG more than Manning on a worse team.

Brees was not a generational talent though. He was an amazing QB, but we're talking pure talent. Brees didn't have a cannon arm nor could he run like the wind. He didn't have protypical size either.

Baker Mayfield, for example, is a poor man's Drew Brees. Brees's accuracy and ball placement is what made him elite. Tom Brady's pocket awareness and field vision is what made him elite.

very fitting none of these yt boi all-time great QBs are generational talents according to him
Is John Elway black? You're the 2nd person to say that in a roundabout way.

Is Accuracy not a talent? Pocket presence? Touch? Football IQ? Work ethics? Play processing? Those aren’t talents?

RC does what he always does. He distills it down to race and only uses the definition of talent that fits his worldview.

did have the people in this thread? People are so automatic in calling him racist when he literally named 2 white QBs that he considered generational.

Ans yes the word generational has lost some of its power because of how loosely it is thrown around now.

I agree Arch didn't look very good last week, but it was one game....and OSU is pretty good. He's going comeback next year too. The family doesn't care about $$. He's going to get the number of starts he needs to be successful at the next level.
