Lets just hope mett can be nearly as good as flynn and jmarc. Wr were important during their years. Early doucet was clutch for us.

Wow he has obviously had all he can take. Probably feels like he will not start next year and to be honest his draft stock isn't going to go up enough if he plays next year to justify staying. This is probably a good decission believe it or not.

Those weren't so great.

Jesus .. he wasn't going to be a QB at this level ... he went down the second he got touched .. was getting run down from behind in the SEC .. and might be one of the three most over-hyped recruits in LSU history ..

RS - thanks for coming to LSU and helping bring talent with you.

Good luck in the NFL. Hope you do well.

Loved having him here because he was a great advocate for the team more than anything. He is always positive, and seems to be a good guy to have as a teammate.

It makes absolutely 0 sense for him to enter the draft.

I got screwed over by a boss before....

Yep, you guessed it.. I left. Had growing pains the next year starting my own firm....Never regretted because that guy was both incompetent and stubborn.

Considering the other places he was considering going to, I'm not sure if it would have been much better.

Russell was probably my favorite TIger off the football field ever, just the way he handled himself, from the time he signed with LSU as the best recruit in the nation until now. He is a class act, and I agree, he has been mis-used.

I dont think he had any carries this year, and that has been where excelled his FR year, and somewhat his SOPH year.

With that being said, I think he is making a mistake. Why not come back and catch passes from the best QB he would have played with to date? As well as a chance to be a premier target, #2 WR. His draft stock could have been improved tenfold, and he could have worn the #18 as the team leader with a chance to win a national title.

Wish you well Shep. You got a raw deal, but you're making a mistake dude. Good luck

We were definitely the wrong system for him. He would have been better suited at a Baylor/Oregon.

He certainly was well spoken. Wasn't he class president or something as a freshman or sophmore?

That would be the biggest mistake in his life i know he is pissed off but he has a passing qb coming in next year and is not near good enough to go to the nfl YET.

Hard to beat the mistake of believing he would have a chance to be QB when no opportunity was forthcoming and then have to suffer under some of the worse QB play one can find at this level.

Why the hell would you stay? If you can show combine skill, you will get a chance at cash. He was been misused and IMO mistreated his entire time here.

Sure he wasn't. He made Darron Thomas look like a fricking scout team player.

Funny how a lot of 5 star guys are overhyped under Miles. We were so awesome here Keiland Williams couldn't start for us, yet somehow managed to start NFL games.

Russell watched that offense Monday night and thought to himself, if we're going to run some option/bubble screen type offense why the frick am i not playing QB, after I actually know how to run the option.

Lester I also love RS but do you really think he was going to start next year? He didn't start this year. I really think he is make the best choice for his situation.
