Freak of the week is for outworking everyone, but doesn’t equal playing time or production.
IMO Josh Williams and Diggs will get the majority of the snaps with Emory/Cain getting some snaps when the running game is struggling or one of the others gets dinged up.

I feel like Goodwin is the most likely. He could be lost in the shuffle. The seniors will probably get the most PT and the freshmen will probably stick around.

Williams
Diggs
Goodwin
Cain

(Emery having class trouble this far into his career shows his identity)

Not really sure, but this is a Hell of a lot better RB room than I thought we might have if this stays true.

The addition of Diggs is massive, 3rd times a charm Bradford is back, and if we can get someone to walk Emery to the correct class every damn day we are golden.

Emery will be a non factor as he has been his whole career here.

How has he been a non factor? He’s had 100 yard games and big plays. Without fumbles or suspension he would be a top back

Well unfortunately fumbles and suspensions is a big part of it. And the couple of 100 yd games Emery has had in the 3 or 4 years he’s been here is not impressive at all considering the caliber of RB he was supposed to be coming out of high school.

Could be our deepest room since 2011.

Someone needs to ask Frank this question during training camp

They are all about the same. Emery looked pretty good against A&M.

Are these “running backs” in the room with us right now?

I won't hazard a guess, but I love Josh Williams. If we have someone better than him then we will be in great shape. With Williams as the floor, I like the RBs.

As to the RB room? I don't like mauve walls, but that's just me.

Goodwin always seemed like an explosive powerful runner but it seems like he has always been hurt

Someone’s sleeping on Bradford. I have a gut feeling about him. In a good way

Haven’t seen anything in going on 3 years from him that says otherwise. Yeah he got Freak of the Week, but I wouldn’t put too much stock in that.. he’s got the physical capabilities but the mental/attitude problems drops his ceiling. But I hope the young man can figure it out and make a full season.

I think Williams and Cain will get the majority of early plays.
Emery still has to prove he can get back to the pass-catching threat he was against Bama last year.
I see Tre Bradford being the surprise, with Diggs right behind.

Cain & Emery early down backs

Williams & Diggs passing down backs

I think there will be a ton of subbing and I’m not sure there is a bellcow in this group

There are only 2-3 that we as LSU fans have any clue about. So I say 50/50 Emery and Goodwin bust it up this year. 5-700 yards each. I like Josh Williams as the starter (500 yards) and Diggs as the wheel route king. Needless to say, I’m long on this years running game. Which will make the passing game better. Could be a 5500 yard offense….maybe more.

I'm going with the talent: Emery and Holly.

Emery is running for his NFL life and Holly will be too productive to leave on the bench.

All the other backs are good to serviceable. Goodwin is the wildcard IF he can stay healthy. But that's a big IF.

Look for rotating leather-luggers much of the season. But once SEC play settles in ... go with the talent.
