Every time I see us run I never understand how our oline never gets to the second level defenders. We don’t pass the blocks off good at all to get to the linebackers. Either getting blown off the ball or just frozen and not pushing up front. I have no idea what the issue is but there is no aggression when it comes to our run game.

A big part of the problem is that we are one of the few teams in the SEC whose quarterback is absolutely no threat to run. Our line does not drive people off the line. We do not have a bubble screen game which is basically a running play. We do not have jet sweeps, reverses, etc. which involve our flankers. We have basically become somewhat of an air raid type of team.

Makes sense. Nuss was god awful don’t get me wrong but if you are a competent OC wouldn’t you want to call plays that fit your team strengths? Or ask Nuss what plays he likes? Or which ones he doesn’t? And scheme behind that? And scheme the runs behind what nuss is confident in? Maybe he would pull a couple of them if you actually involve him when you gameplan. Not just throwing shite together for the frick if it. And being predictable? Cause that’s what it feels like when watching this offense. Let him throw whatever I call on 1st down and then run and then it’s 3rd and long and he’s having to make a play with pressure.

10 plays a game wasted with #18. Great personal story but mediocre running back.

Because the team knows not only that LSU is running but basically the one or two one run plays they do run.

Sloan is total garbage when it comes to calling and designing run games. You had less chance at guessing a Tecmo Bowl run play than guessing a Sloan running play.

We haven’t run a jet to Thomas since game 2 or 3, but we ran 2 WR Screens and at least 3 short swing passes to Durham. A&M stuffed most for no gain.

I would like to see Thomas get some carries as a wrinkle, but we actually ran some of these plays over the last three games. Just pay attention.

Has Jackson done any better?

Durham is playing at around 80% right now. This has been said many times. He’s been hurt since USA.

He still had 2/3 of the carries vs Arkansas and he had the most last night, but it was pretty obvious he was slowed after his one big pass play last night. That and we pretty much gave up on the run.

Do you want to just run him into the ground and end his season early? Thank Trey Holley for being a fricking idiot and blowing what would have been a great shot to play right away.

We looked like we were on roller skates with steel wheels on ice. The run blocks were atrocious. No push. No blowing anyone off the ball.

25 or so net rushing? Gimme a break.

This is bullshite. Teams have been able to run the ball forever with no run threat from the QB. Does it help, yeah sure but that isn't why they cannot run block.

All of this, and I will say it again it is past time that Brad Davis start taking some heat and we should maybe look into firing his arse and bringing in someone that can properly teach run blocking because he isn't getting it done. Keeping him would be insane. You cannot continue to do the same things and expect different results.

The entire offense is like this. Almost every play caller runs one thing to set up the next but our offense, run and pass is just throwing shite at the wall hoping one of the athletes pops a long one. This isn’t a Sloan problem it’s a Kelly problem and it’s not going to change.

We promoted an OC whose only playcalling experience was at La Tech. BK went out and found a proven DC. He shoulda hired a proven OC when Denbrock left.

He was our leading rusher last night. He doubled Durham's ypc (though Durham is the better back).

It’s Kelly’s offense. Do you guys not remember the Denbrock interview year 1? “I run what Coach Kelly wants, it’s his offense” Look at ND this year, does that look like Denbrocks offense here? Not remotely.
