I know nothing about F. King leaving in June.
What I do know is that the term of a bunch of Jindal-appointed BOS members expires in June, 2018. This will give the current governor control, for the first time, of the BOS thru his appointees.
F. King and Alleva were gifts of the Jindal administration and his BOS.

If F. King was a gift from Jindal, then why didn't Jindal pick a right-wing president for LSU?

How can you possibly see this as negative? This is potentially the best news we've heard since we thought we were hiring Jimbo in 2015.

I'll let you try to peddle the myth that F. King is a "liberal" of some kind. Jindal hand picked him, so that should suggest to you he is not anything of the kind. Frankly, he doesn't seem very political at all.

Would you be okay with Alleva to President if we got Woodward as AD?

My wife works at LSUE and FKing and JBE were there last week shaking hands and giving a speech. Don’t personally see how this would happen. She mentioned something about they were going around to all universities talking about money for LSU universities.

A "liberal" to a lot of the posters on here could just be someone who is halfway rational on hot-button issues such as teaching creationism in schools, taking guns away from domestic-abusers and responsibly managing the state budget. JBE for instance, is a West Point graduate, is pro-life, pro-gun, but a lot of ill-informed yahoos call HIM a "liberal." To be not called a "liberal" in this state requires one to be a straight-out rightwing ideologue like Bobbie Jindal.

I agree with this completely.
Also, JBE and F. King are seen together all the time in joint appearances dealing with LSU. This is part of the job. I know nothing about F. King leaving in June, but it would not surprise me.

This thread is pure comedy. Most of you know nothing of how the politics and BOS work at LSU not to mention you make judgements about people you have never had a conversation with-

Lol if he steps away and they promote Alleva.

I don't care if LSU was my school. I'd be done for good.

If I can find the thread I'll link it. Some shady shite he was doing at past jobs.

Actually someone posted it in this thread. Read it.

Carville wouldn't be as bad as conservative fans might initially think. He's not going to be shaping gun policy or instituting tax hikes from that position, but he would truly want LSU sports to succeed.

Hey, let's get Skip Bertman to be President. You know, someone who will focus on what's really important.
